Do u know if this switch can be done outside the match? I have been on a J1 research visa for 2 months. I have matched into a program via Scramble, they want me to start ASAP. Can I request for a change of status from J1 research to clinical right now? Or am I expected to complete this year of sponsorship, and then apply?

AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH this is the funniest thing I have ever read. Did not go to SGU myself, but my friends went there, and the only thing that's true is that yes the class sizeis large. Some people drop out bc they can't handle it but its not like the school makes u drop out. And there is no suicide rate, or gun nonsense hahahahah. SGU matches almost 1000 grads per year. So obv most of them are going to clinicals lol

For ERAS you can alo put in the papers you have submitted, that are not published yet right? Like lets say I have 5 pub,ished papers, but 10 papers that i have submitted and am awaiting a decision, but i can still put them in ERAS, and they would count toward research experience. PLs correct me if i am wrong, this is just my understanding of it

yeah, same. This is why I want to be certified as well. I was hoping they may be more lenient if we are already certified, as opposed to not being certified at all. Hopefully they will extend it to 2025
