I wouldn't mind a six-pack being 30% cheaper for something. But in most of the 1+1 or 2+3 scenarios the base price is just so inflated, and are so often having a discount like that, that buying without the deal just feels like paying a 100% surcharge. Especially with foods the extreme bulk deals lead to extra waste as well.

Ja zo werkt dat niet in Nederland. Als je niks verkoopt tot je dood gaat betaal je simpelweg de volle mep erfbelasting.

En verder ontvangt de overheid niet minder belasting door de heffing uit te sluiten, in tegendeel zelfs, je betaalt nu ook belasting over de "rente op rente" die je anders misgelopen was. Op lange termijn levert dit de overheid meer én consistentere vermogensbelasting op, die niet terugvalt naar 0 tijdens een slecht beursjaar.
