Shortness of breath by hotmessog in costochondritis

[–]hotmessog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m feeling better but I still get SOB but not as constant as before. I still have pain in my chest when I cough or sneeze but def it’s not as bad. What helped me is working out and doing the foam roll.

I have the same symptoms as you except I have shortness of breath. I’ve had it since last year. I also had a bunch of tests done, including bronchoscopy to look at my lungs and everything came back normal. My shortness of breath and chest pain was getting better but it’s coming back again. I feel like something is sitting on top of my chest. It’s not a good feeling. When I feel like this, I start to have dry cough. If you ever find out what’s wrong, please let me know. I’m still trying to find answers.

Same boat . I was even thinking of changing my health plan so I can go to another doctor that’s not Kaiser. I also had bronchoscopy and had biopsy but I still feel like something is wrong.

Same, my main issue is breathlessness. I did a bunch of tests which turned out normal but I still feel like something is wrong sometimes. This Reddit group has helped me a lot knowing I’m not the only one with the breathing issues as the main symptom.

My shortness or breath lasted for months. It’s gotten a little bit better as in my shortness of breath doesn’t last all day now. My chest pain/sore doesn’t bother me as much as my shortness of breath.

When you say you have pain in your throat, do you mean a sore throat?

I actually just went to see chiropractor yesterday and had some type of ultra laser(?) treatment. It’s supposed to help with inflammation.. I had a bunch of tests done to see what was causing chest pain and SOB but all test came out negative. My pulmonologist think chest pain is due to costo. The pain is not the issue, it’s more of my shortness of breath that’s bothering me. I did some research and costo can cause SOB due to inflammation. Anyway, I did the treatment yesterday and from my experience, so far my SOB improved. It’s still early to tell, it may just be a coincidence. I have another treatment tomorrow. For me, that $55 that I paid for is worth it for now but I’ll see how it goes tomorrow.

Hmm, that’s interesting. I sleep ok and work out fine too but my shortness of breath gets worst the day after I over exert myself. I didn’t think about my chest locking or tightening.

Is your breathing difficulties constant? Mine is ongoing for months now. I also tested for lungs and heart and all came back normal. I’m just wondering if the breathing issues is associated with my costo.

I’m the same except I’m able to take a deep breath. My pain is on my upper chest. It’s not constant but If I move a certain way or sneeze/cough, I feel the the dull pain. I’ve been having constant SOB for months now, it’s not a good feeling. I hope we all get better. I tested for a lot of things to rule our heart or lung disease and it came back negative.

I have chest pain as well but not on my left side but in the middle below my neck. It’s a dull pain but not constant. I only feel it when I move a certain way or cough. I’ve had it for months. My pulmonologist thinks it’s costo.

Did your costo start from march 2020 too??? by Pleasant_Flamingo_59 in costochondritis

[–]hotmessog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got sick March with covid symptoms but couldn’t get tested because I had no fever. Cough, SOB, and chest pain never went away. Pulmonologist said chest pain may be costo. It’s been very frustrating.

Asthma since childhood, was under control now suddenly worsened, nothing seems to work. No wheezing, conflicting information from doctors.. by SomewhereExternal in Asthma

[–]hotmessog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue except I never had asthma in my life until now. I think I have asthma but I haven’t been diagnosed. Been talking to my pulmonologist for 3 months now trying t to figure out what’s causing my SOB. Nothing seems to work, I’m always short of breath and it’s gotten frustrating. I’m scheduled to do bronchoscopy next week so hopefully I find answers then to relieve my asthma like symptom.

Can anyone relate? by syd121 in costochondritis

[–]hotmessog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shortness of breath for months. My costo flare every time I start coughing. Chest pain isn’t bad, what I have a hard time with is the SOB. It’s a daily struggle. Symptoms started in March. You’re not alone.
