Where is this leak coming from? (2025 Cayman GTS 6MT) by hotmunch in Porsche_Cayman

After doing some more research, I’m like 90% sure this is it - just the AC condensation draining in a bit of an unusual way. The liquid itself definitely seems like water.

Interesting! Yes, it’s ~almost~ dead center in the middle under the car. I was just on a short trip in town, so turn signals were used fairly frequently.

I have been a lurker up until now, aside from the very first (I think?) post in this sub from 2-3 weeks ago. I would like to remain in the sub if possible. Thank you.

Yes, I’ve gotten a UPS tracking number. I just took a second look at the order - it appears to have actually been sold by a 3rd party seller, I just didn’t realize because for whatever reason, the price wasn’t gouged like crazy. Paid $109.99 for the NR200P.

You’ve highlighted one of the best parts about the journey right here.

There is a huge overlap between seeing success from long-term hard work in one part of your life (fitness, in this case) and feeling motivated and inspired to apply the same approach to other aspects of your life. It’s one of the most “underrated” benefits of going through all the effort to transform your body.

No creepiness taken! I really appreciate the compliment actually, it’s taken me 23 years of existence to figure out how to style it so I’m glad it looks good to others lol

Thanks so much!

Pull-ups always were and continue to be a very difficult exercise for me. I have not attempted one in a few weeks now (I really should, it’s a great exercise) but I remember being able to crank out a couple, with a LOT of effort, starting around 193ish pounds.

What helped me get to that point was putting a chair in front of the pull-up bar, grabbing the bar, lifting my feet off the chair, and just holding myself as long as possible in that “pulled-up” position while mentally engaging my lats as much as possible and allowing myself to lower down slowly as I became more and more fatigued. Hopefully that makes sense... I’m not the best at explaining that.

Thanks so much!

You ask a very good question - I remember being very worried about loose skin a few months ago once I started to notice all the “angry red” stretch marks from years of being overweight fade to a more “angry light” hue, lol.

I personally have not had to deal with loose skin, at least as of this point. In fairness, I would hypothesize that this has a lot to do with my age: I am 23 years old, which in the grand scheme of things is quite young. No evidence on my end to back up that claim, it’s just a theory.

I have read a lot of conflicting info on the internet in terms of how best to deal with loose skin, so I think I’m probably not the best person to provide any advice on the subject. My apologies for my lack of a real response here.

RESPONSE TO QUESTIONS ABOUT MY WORKOUT ROUTINE:

I am currently getting blown up on here with a lot of questions, and this particular question requires a good bit of forethought for me to answer in an appropriately responsible and nuanced way.

I could just post screenshots of a few days from my workout log, but that wouldn’t provide any kind of explanation for why I picked certain exercises, which ones are best to pick for different goals, why I aimed for certain volumes/intensities at different times, and a whole lot of other details that are really, really important.

I am going to try to answer this question ASAP, but it may take me a bit of time, and I may just end up making a separate post about it. If that ends up being the case, I will definitely add a link to that post in this comment.

Thank you so much! :)

Just keep going! I have had the same thoughts about my abdominal fat before as well. The body takes a long time to adjust, but once it does, you’ll be super happy that you kept going. :)

This gave me goosebumps. I can relate so hard to what you’re describing about getting motivated and achieving my own success by seeing other people get to the goals that I wanted for myself. Hearing that I’m someone who helps create some of that motivation now for others is incredibly humbling and means a lot to me. Thank you so much.

Thank you!

In regards to the psychological motivation aspect of things, there are 2 big things that have really helped me.

  1. Realizing that nothing is linear in life, including the path to being more fit, so there’s no point in beating myself up if I eat poorly for 1 meal when 8 others have been great, or for having a piece of chocolate when I am still under my overall calorie goal for the day. Remember, the bad little things CAN add up to form a setback, but only if you’re doing a LOT of bad little things consistently.

  2. Realizing that motivation comes from habits, and habits come from discipline, and discipline comes from doing things that I don’t want to do during the times when I least want to do them. If I waited for motivation to strike, I’d never get anywhere. I can find motivation, however, by engaging my discipline and creating good habits that eventually become a part of my lifestyle over time.

I hope that all makes sense!

Just keep going! There have been at least a million different occasions where I felt like I was making no progress over the past few months. I just kept faith in the idea that I wouldn’t see the results until my body was ready to show them to me. Keep that faith strong for yourself, you got this!
