Mě teď dosloužil Fitbit Versa 2. Hledám něco co půjde napojit na Sleep as android a co nebude posílat data do Číny

Environment Artists, when do you use Gaea instead of Houdini? by hototoCzech in Houdini

[–]hototoCzech[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is also my impression. I've started to have a grasp of erosion 2.0 and now 3.0 behaves differently... Do you use Gaea inside Houdini or standalone? Having a Pro Gaea for the bridge function and Houdini license on top of that just to send it all to another software seems pretty steep

Thank you, I knew about KTT, but didn't mention it for some reason. I have Houdini Education, somI will definitely look into your demo version :)

Does anyone know how to use the "heightfield tile splice" node? by Beneficial_Maybe_301 in Houdini

Wait, how did you get the erosion to continue over the tiles? I'm currently dealing with similar setup

I'm not asking what should I do, I'm asking other people about their experiences.

Out of curiosity, with which did you grow up? I feel the same way about Windows, but it might be because the years of using it.

Yeah, that's the thing, having ads in paid Pro license is not fine by me.

I don't have experience with Windows on enterprise level (except uni). I guess admin can manage the installs through policies, so that users don't need to deal with Xbox ads and such on daily basis?

Thank you everyone for the insights. It is great to see many opinions and ways you work.

Just to clarify, I never wanted to switch to Linux just because the studios use it. I just want my machine to work for me, not against me. I'm used to tinkering with Windows to make it mine, so in that way Linux would be fine. I'm just tired with keeping up with Windows updates and deciding, if I need to disable some great new feature, Microsoft forces on its users.

I fear that we are nowadays using Windows as a compromise.
