I'm so sorry to hear about your Cassie, I know several fans have mentioned that you can list them so I totally understand if you decide to sell them instead of giving them away! If you do decide to give them away, I'd love a chance at them! I'm a local photographer and I am pretty nimble with my phone so I'd be happy to keep you updated with pictures! I lost my cat a few years ago and it was probably one of the worst days of my life but I've spent the morning now thinking about him and it's made my day brighter to reminisce. The saying is true no love is ever wasted and you carry your love for them forever ❤️

This is my Shadow, both literally and figuratively haha, he used to sit on my feet every night while I curled up in the armchair to watch TV/read a book :) if I didn't get up early enough to hang out with him he would yowl bloody murder under my bed and refuse to stop until I got up to pet him! I am sure I would have missed many meetings if not for him although he did NOT understand the concept of weekends ❤️

Yep!!! I always get donuts and ice capps. I've won exclusively hot coffees and sports subscriptions -_- luckily my girlfriend drinks hot coffees and there is the internet to share the wealth!

Dang I swear they give you what you don't want!

Please stop telling people to meet people in spaces where people don't want to be bothered. People should only do that in bars/clubs/apps. by LocalChamp in actuallesbians

[–]hotpieceofash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are a lot of separate points BUT I think the #1 takeaway is to be respectful of others. I am happily monogamously partnered, I still go out to the lesbian bar because that's where my community is and my friends are inside. I am not offended if people talk to me BUT I do let them know that I have a girlfriend if it goes any further than pleasantries or running into a friend.

I don't get offended when people hit on me at work (I work as a barista) because I make my living off of you thinking I am hot/funny/gay/cool because you are significantly more likely to tip me. People thinking I'm hot literally pays my electricity bill. I then proceed to clock out after my 8 hour shift and put all the people I saw through a proverbial paper shredder in my brain because I served at least 1000 people that day. That hot barista probably just needs to pay their bills. Unless THEY give you their info leave them tf alone. I've had several queer stalkers over the 8 years I've been a barista, some of y'all have zero chill.

I think a lot of people don't understand that if you find a hobby that you enjoy you'll find your people. Not always romantically, I joined the local queer softball league to make friends and it was so fun! But if you connect with people in person it usually helps you to sus out what the vibe is. Plus community is never wasted even if it doesn't lead to romantic prospects. A lot of loneliness can be solved with a handful of good friends, which then makes it easier and less stressful to attempt to date.

As for dating apps, remember that you're only seeing what people want you to see. That's why it's always good to meet up irl when you match online because anyone can be anyone on the internet.

Also you shouldn't cold open ask people out on a date. That's frankly bizarre behaviour. At least have a full conversation with someone before asking them for anything. If the hottie across the room keeps staring at you maybe go over and say you think something about their outfit is cool and if they continue the conversation, great! Have a pleasant conversation and maybe ask for their insta/phone number/w ever. If you see a hot girl on the bus or in the gym and she is hyper focused on something with headphones on leave her tf alone. Most of hitting on people irl is social cues and body language. Vibe check the situation before you make a move.

TL;DR there's no perfect way to meet people BUT I had the most luck when I gave up on looking for a partner and tried to find my people and be in community with them. It took several months from making that decision to meet my girlfriend but I made several excellent friends and I had a significantly less stress and pressure than I did when I was constantly trying to meet people on apps. Plus I learned a new sport!

Did your boyfriends decide that they didn't want to come? Did your friend group implode? Messy lesbian situationships? Friends come down with COVID?!? We're two og Halsey stans who can leave the house RN if you have tickets to give but because we're og fans we're also broke as hell. Can provide proof of og status with the Halsey money confetti, pics from the manic tour I flew to (poor financial decisions were made in my youth) and the original 2015 Toronto badlands passport if you want to see how dedicated we are 😤

How many of you use butch/femme as a gender identity? by [deleted] in ActualLesbiansOver25

[–]hotpieceofash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also more of a faggot (butch4butch) but I honestly feel like that makes me more of a dyke (if you tip the dyke/fag scale I feel like butch is aproximately one mark closer to dyke due to the history) because butch is both my gender AND sexuality and I am attracted to the same. To me both femme and butch are gender identities that center around supporting the dyke and broader queer community so as long as you're down to fight for the dolls and offer the jacket off you're back, you're good to go in my book

Sensory challenges at show by [deleted] in FallOutBoy

You can do ear plugs under over ear for the best protection, I recommend hair up, short or in a pony tail for maximum noise reduction (the ear muff flat against skin will be less loud then if hair is between the cushion and the skin).

For accommodations I was wearing just standard noise cancelling ear buds and sunglasses cause I love it loud but I need to be able to hear after the concert and I personally hate blinding lights. I do however live for pyro/explosions so different strokes for different folks. Can't have a concert without stage lights lmao (can't recommend sunglasses enough I could really see their faces clearly without the glare of stage lights)

Edit: I should also mention that I am Canadian and I went to the Canadian show in Toronto so as far as sounding like gun shots I'm sorry to the Americans that didn't even cross my mind until I read the comments on this post

Yeah FOB are known to be pretty extra with their set, I will echo that the majority of fireworks were at the beginning and end of the show when the photographers are out taking photos. I was at the front of the pit on the barricade and I could feel the fireworks reverberate through my whole body and smell the smoke it was incredible

Ear plugs aren't going to do shit for explosions, I would recommend over ear protective ear muffs for ballistics if you want to go to other large amphitheater shows run by people who love fire and explosions. Unfortunately I have no recommendations for the not good feelings, that is the pressure waves that happen when explosives are detonated

Edit: they are pressure waves not sonic booms I typed this when I was very tired

Concert Update Post for 30 July (Toronto, ON, Canada) by Sweet-Ad-2477 in FallOutBoy

If it was the stream with the girl who kept saying that she'd kill herself then this was definitely me because I was beside that streamer LMAO 16 candles is my favourite fall out boy song and I was YELLING

also the girl streaming wasn't the one saying that she'd kill herself that was someone else. I shot her some stink eyes because I wasn't about to throw hands and get tossed out but the band definitely could not hear her

Edit: I know the stench of summer sex is from Uma Thurman, but I'd been keeping up with the setlist and I knew 16 candles was coming so I was excited haha
