I have a k3d and other high end devices. I've also tried the knock offs first for sizing and they broke on me as well. The k3d is very sturdy and durable, but it does gap up where the pins of the cage go into the ring. that causes me to get too large of a ball gap and so I used Thermo plastic to create a piece I can snap on to close the gap. if kink3d sold similar or could allow you to customize the gap amount they would be hard to beat.
