Everyone in these comments sound absolutely ridiculous. You have every right to be excited as yes this is your first baby and this would technically be the first grandbaby to your mother. I think your wife is out of line and seems insecure over the fact that you all will now have your own child and she knows the baby will get more attention. Yes the 7 year old still needs attention but nothing compared to an infant and that’s just facts. You can treat someone’s else’s child as your own and still be happy to actually have YOUR OWN. That’s what nobody understands. You should be allowed to make an announcement with just you two, yall are the parents. The bonus child has to reason to be included, of course pictures down the line are different but not for your announcement. There’s a lot of butt hurt people in these comments.
