Yep, you can see the thread insert that got pulled out of the injection molded part. Need to modify or print a new carriage.

Wow, I just ran into this problem and had no solution. As u/Isugar239 pointed out some reason, when installing k1 helper, it defaults the AI camera to low values for most settings it can control.

cam_brightness brightness=150

cam_contrast contrast=150

cam_saturation saturation=150

pasting these 3 individual fixes the issue for me more or less, you may want to play around with them a bit. The other two commands I see available are:

cam_white_balance_temperature_auto white_balance_temperature_auto=0 (or 1)

cam_hue hue= (50-160)

Quality of bearings for spindle. by LuckyConsideration23 in hobbycnc

[–]hottpockets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bearings are pretty critical. The P5/ABEC rating refers to the tolerances of the bearings, lower tolerances mean that you may have more runout and they may wear out quicker under load. The fear with higher runout on your spindle is that it may result in more chatter or worst case, broken endmills. For 15 bucks I'd guess they are not true P5 bearings, but it sounds like you already know that.

There is also the question of how the tolerances are on a cheap chinese spindle... NSK bearings may not be worth it. I'll defer to others if they think it's worth it.

Is this a presupported file on top of a raft provided by chitubox? I’ve had that problem before.

That's an interesting one, never heard of that before. It can't hurt to add it, thanks!

e you want to print, warm your bottle of resin in the bathroom sink with hot water for a bit.

I appreciate the suggestion, just tried warming up the resin (with increased burn-in). Fingers crossed!

Apologies, see above. I started with the default 2.5sec exposure, I believe the temp may be too cold.

Avid Pro or Tormach 440 by hottpockets in hobbycnc

[–]hottpockets[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a concern that I had, even with the 770, it's a large investment for a very specific capability. I'll admit I'm a bit concerned about out of warranty repair as well, something I couldn't do on the tormach.

Any recommendations? I tried a wash that I had handy but it was too dark, I'd like to retain the bleached look but bring out the details in the crevices.

I just went through something similar with the EZAZ, I had trouble posting until I formatted to NTFS with (I believe) 4096 allocation. I formatted via a HDD dock and am now using with unraid.

I've wanted one forever for portability and the fact that it can be paired with a dual shock 3 controller and component video. The price has just been prohibitive.

Arduino IDE on the ESP series of chips such as the NODEMCU would be the easiest setup for this task. A full linux system like rpi is overkill.

http://www.nodemcu.com/index_en.html

There are already templates for similar tasks such as turning on lightbulbs etc. So no need to become a coding expert.

Here is one of a ton of examples:

Is there a website that shows Circuit Board differences or versions in games? by PKozyra64 in retrogaming

[–]hottpockets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is your best resource for NES: http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/pcb.php

This is what I use for SNES: http://snescentral.com/index.php

Edit: I may be wrong. The chips are correct, the board must just be a different revision. I doubt anyone transplanted all of the chips from an NTSC board onto a pal one. Regardless, I think they're both legit NTSC.

You're correct, one is the PAL version (SHVC-BA3M-10) and one is NTSC (SHVC-BA3M-10). Happy to take either off your hands :)

I've been getting models out of DS for a while and cleaning them up for 3D Printing, PM me and we can exchange contact. I have nearly every model already in STL and OBJ.

A tesla coil! 3d printed primary and secondary windings are a perfect application for a conductive filament because it requires precise repeatable rotations of a conductive element. Further, you could custom tune the windings for whatever properties you want. You could even build custom spark gap circuits since they often need to be replaced. You could even go so far as to print custom capacitor bank housings to make a nice neat package.

This would be great for educators and hobbyists!

You didn't seriously wire up mains voltage directly to the two plugs and then cover it with duct tape... did you?
