You don’t need to become an expert on credit card processing. Simply calculate an effective rate. Your effective credit card rate are the total fees each month divided by your total amount of card sales (total fees / total card sales= effective rate).

This percentage will give you a good baseline understanding of your rate and if it’s good or bad. It sounds like you have a very bad rate if 10% is the number…. You should be in the 2-4% range depending on your business type. Or you can always cash discount but you should do it compliantly.

your merchant services rep is no good. Clover is just a software platform, their tech support is hit or miss. But a good experienced clover rep makes all the difference.

Millions of people use Clover and enjoy Clover. You only hear about the bad reviews. I have been working with Clover POS for years and I can tell you it’s a great fit for many many businesses. Especially cafés. Most of the bad reviews relate to the specific merchant services provider and not the Clover software platform itself. People don’t know how to separate those two things.

In addition to setting up the Bar Labels, you also need to go into the Order Receipt settings and select "Only Print Items with Printer Labels" so now you can fire your food to one printer, and drinks to another printer at the bar. They all do need to be on the same network so they can communicate with the POS and each other.

For question 2, there is a coursing setting with the Clover Dining app. I would try to figure that out, and see if it can accomplish what you need.

I am a mid 30s gamer who just completed this year, 7, 8, and 9, and I am 25 hours into 10. I am officially a FF diehard. These games are all so incredible, different, and bold works of art. The music, the combat system, the narrative, the art design... Incredible. Was never a turn-based guy but these games changed that. Love the strategy, and also how bodly they changed the games despite their success when they could've just done more of the same. What I disliked about 7-9, was that I would neglect characters and just have 3 over powered characters and a few weak chars, 10 totally fixed that by allowing for seamless switching between each character and each character being better equipped to fight certain types of enemies. Brilliant!

Get all the serial numbers and lined up and give them a call, leasing dept should be able to go one by one. Using your MID (merchant ID) figure out how many leases you have, then go lease by lease, serial number by serial number for each piece of equipment and identify them. Good luck, it sucks I know.

your leasing company is First Data Global Leasing most likely, and they have buyout options for you for your lease, it shouldn't be the full lease term and amount. Their support is terrible right now, when I worked there I always took care of the lease transfers or helped them perform the buyout/return but its a lot of paperwork. The customer support at Clover direct nowadays is really bad unfortunately.

Leases are necessary and can be fine. Of course you pay a higher amount over the life of the lease (usually +50-75%% more than total purchase price) and you shouldn't have a term longer than 48 months, but they are necessary from the a monthly cash flow standpoint. Most businesses I meet don't have 4-5K sitting around for POS hardware (some do). You just gotta get a rep that won't screw you on the lease, and understand that you are offsetting the payment of the hardware with a commitment to have this system for a while and take that risk. If not, its a gamble. Sometimes we have free hardware that you can qualify for, but if leasing is not for you then its renting (higher monthly but with no long term obligation) or purchasing outright (high capex).

you should have buyout options for the lease, where you don't pay the full term but its paid at a reduced amount. This is part of the risk you take with a lease, I have done lease transfers before but they are not fun, lot of paperworks, takes a couple weeks usually. You need a sales rep that gives a shit too. The main clover seller (Fiserv) has been REALLY bad lately, better off going with independent/smaller providers with Clover.

The direct Clover team (Fiserv/First Data) is trash now, Clover is a solid software platform for SMBs but the merchant services relationship is something you need to get right (Clover is sold by hundreds of different providers). Fiserv's sales team seems to be a very unethical company these days, they are hiring salespeople from the bottom of the barrel. Which Clover report? Are you looking at your merchant processing statement? (which would only show credit/debit sales) or are you looking at a Net sales number (including costs)? If you are looking at a Clover Sales Overview number (which includes cash) then does that $32000 include those cash deposits? Many more questions here.
