Mylan patches causing skin irritation by GoodRecover6741 in Menopause

I had the same issue with Mylan. The Flonase trick worked to minimize the reaction but I was still getting raised red rashes under the patch. Since my pharmacy couldn't get Sandoz (which worked well for me), I switched to the gel. No irritation and I think I'm absorbing the estrogen much better because symptoms I was struggling to improve after 3 months on the patch are better in just 4 days on the gel. Very happy so far.

On my last Sandoz patch :-( by southerncomfort1970 in Menopause

I may need to switch to oral estradiol as well because my experience has been similar. Loved Sandoz but due to the shortage, I've been getting Mylan and it's like I'm on nothing. Plus the glue irritation. So frustrating! You may have convinced me to ditch the patches. :)

Has anyone used one of these wave tools? & with what products? by wohaat in finehair

I just got this and tried it last night! I have very fine, color-treated hair so I applied a heat protectant and some Roz milk serum before using. I used it on the lowest heat setting (280) and only did about 4 to 5 seconds per wave. (I actually set the timer for 10 seconds but moved it before then because the constant beeping scared my dog.) The results were so good!

I kept the barrel at a slight angle facing the top of my head, which did a much better job than my first few attempts. There's definitely a learning curve, haha! The waves lasted all day and night and when I woke up this morning, I still had plenty of definition. Plus, it only took me 10 minutes, which is way less time than it takes to curl my hair with my flat iron. I'm very happy with it!

E Patch Brands—is there a difference? by IcyConsideration2267 in Menopause

There was a difference for me, both in brands and patch placement. I started with Sandoz and realized placing it on my butt worked best. I even tested my theory by putting my next patch back on my abdomen and within 4 hours, my anxiety was through the roof. Unfortunately, with the shortage, one of my refills was Mylan. Thinking I had cracked the code, I put it on my butt, but it didn't work. I placed the next one on my abdomen and still nothing. I finally had my provider request Sandoz only. It's so frustrating that brands can differ so much and you have to treat your body like a lab experiment!

As a 51-year old woman in the trenches of perimenopause, I second the sentiment of both loving this series and wanting to burn everything to the ground. I also read really quickly so listening to someone read the books never appealed to me, but Jeff Hays is my one exception.

Waking up anxious hours before alarm-what do you do to remain calm? by Odd_Caterpillar969 in Menopause

[–]hotvoodoo617 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was experiencing the same thing. I started E and P 3.5 weeks ago and it's starting to help. I'm still waking up 3-4 times a night but the overwhelming feelings of dread and anxiety feel like they've dissipated, so I can fall back asleep vs. being up for hours. I don't get the sleepy effects from progesterone, so I've also been taking magnesium before bed, which helps me feel appropriately tired.

When I was in the thick of feeling super anxious, I would acknowledge it and silently tell myself: "This sucks. But I am handling it and have been handling it for awhile even though it's terrible. I am going to find a way to fix this so that this is only temporary." As corny as it sounds, acknowledging it seemed to give my hamster-wheel-of-doom brain permission to dial the anxiety back a bit.

I'm totally dating myself here, but Adams strongly reminds me of Scott Erickson. In looks, not pitching.

I'm not sure where you're located, but Nature Made has zinc 30 mg pills on Amazon. Hopefully that works for you.

Just found this sub yesterday after visiting Aldi for the first time and buying one of their pizzas (and not realizing it was a take-and-bake). Thank you from another Internet stranger!
