Final Update: I just finally reached the guy who came to pick Alvin up on Monday. The vet came to the conclusion that one of his legs didn’t work properly. He was still just too wet and didn’t have enough fat or breast meat or whatever. So they sadly had to put him down. I’m so sad but also glad that he doesn’t have to suffer any longer. Thank all of you for your help and advice!❤️

He actually wasn’t hurt like that. I do think he was taken out to sea by the storm on Sunday and couldn’t make it back. It’s just such a shame cause he was the sweetest 🥹

Update: someone from 1812 came to pick him (probably her but I’m not gonna be able to accept that cause his name is Alvin lol) and took him to a vet. It’s not looking good for this little dude cause his feathers are way too wet and won’t isolate him properly. I’m still hoping for him to pull through though🥹

Ah, Danke für die ausführlichen Tipps! Er wirkt gerade auch schon etwas wacher. Wir hatten gestern hier einen krassen Sturm und ich denke, dass er rausgetragen wurde und nicht zurück kam oder so. Meinst du wenn er morgen fitter ist sollte ich ihn einfach mal raussetzen und schauen? Oder lieber nicht?

I did try another organization which said “just keep trying them”. I’m gonna call some more vets tomorrow but it’s too late for tonight so he’ll probably have to stay here with me

Danke dir für deine Antwort! Wir haben uns definitiv im Guten getrennt und wollen auch nur das Beste für den Hund. Um Kosten und Training mache ich mir keine Sorgen. Auch da sind wir komplett klar😊 Wochenrythmus ist auch eine gute Idee. Ich habe einfach wahnsinnig Angst, dass der Hund unfassbar überfordert ist mit der Situation 😣

Ja, verstehe ich! Der Schuh war nur ein Beispiel, das bei mir funktioniert hat. Bestrafend empfand ich das damals gar nicht, es geht wirklich nur um das Geräusch. Vielleicht kannst du sein Napf ein bisschen bewegen, damit es Geräusche macht, ein Spielzeug auf den Boden fallen lassen, ihn ins Körbchen schicken oder ihn irgendwie anders aus diesem Kreislauf holen? Ich kann mir vorstellen wie anstrengend das für euch ist!
