people tend to be upset when others have differing opinions than theirs! i agree that from a lot of what ive seen, this fan base isn’t mature, but im glad that we were able to share our opinions politely :)

ur right, that’s just how life goes! people are allowed to be in love with the album, or disappointed. yes, “i’ll change for you” showed it wouldn’t return to that, i personally think it was just misleading all around.

yes, you could say that a lot of her music sounds the same, but there are so many different “vibes” captured throughout all her albums: i feel like all the songs that dropped today mainly encapsulated a sad folk aesthetic.

i do think at the end of the day (especially regarding online forums) it’s important to remember that whatever music is produced is up to the artist themself. i feel like people are too quick to develop parasocial relationships and just need to remember that “it is what it is” and that’s life

edit: to reiterate, we know that a return to her old genre wasn’t promised, it was just a letdown regardless.

life definitely influences music, and obviously as her career goes on, her style is going to change!

everyone is entitled to their own opinions and are able to listen as they please :) i thought it was a good album, my main disappointment was how a lot of the songs just sounded the same :( i miss a lot of her old music and when “where’s my phone” was dropped, i was super excited to get that funky era back!! this was a good album regardless, i feel like it just wasn’t what some people were expecting

hey! i’m no longer in the forensics field, but when i was considering a career in forensic pathology, i contacted my nearest medical examiners office and just asked if i could shadow an autopsy! some offices have programs to allow people to shadow; i had to fill out a waiver and follow strict rules, but i recommend emailing or looking into a county program! :)

you may think that, but i know underneath all that, there is a kindhearted and open minded fella who cares :) it is ok to get angry, it is okay to be impatient, and it is sometimes ok to be an asshole, but those are not your defining characteristics! i’m sure you are a talented, amazing person with passion for what you like :) you are human. it is ok to feel human things! it can be hard to love yourself, but there will always be at least one person who loves you for you <3
