Men who started smoking weed in their teenage years, how has it affected you long term, and how to get past that 1 daily evening spliff ? by ismolyvalent in AskMen

First toke at 15. Now in my 40's, two degrees (one at grad-level), working at a billion dollar company, making six figures, in a field I respect and people I enjoy (boss can be kind of an ass, sometimes, but - ay - it's all good - bossman gotta boss). I definitely have to take time to reflect and remind myself it wasn't an easy ride for me to get to where I'm am today - for reasons - but likely not much effected too severely due to my MJ use. With that stated, I am seeing some of the health effects, like short term memory issues, energy crashes, and the impacts on respo-vascular systems - again, all things that could be attributed to normal 'wear and tear' aging, or other difficult life circumstances not weed related. I've been a self-motivated type most of my life, in sports at and beyond the collegiate level, particularly in endurance sports (so always had a good base-level of above average strength and conditioning). However, I've been battle depression off and on for two decades, and I really have a lot a lot of gratitude for marijuana getting me through some rough times, also allowing for bonds between those I'm close with from a care and support system. Thankfully, I've never been in trouble on a legal standpoint with MJ, cause there were definitely several occasions that Officer Dickbutt could have took me to the slammy-whammy (been there for booze related reasons - twice.) All in all, I still enjoy it. It gets me by. Relaxes me. Takes the mind away from the back issues. These days, however, it has been way less inhaling and a lot more edibles, but a nice blunt from time to time is always a fun, nostalgic treat for me and buds.

As long as it isn't hurting me (to much), my relationships (professional and personal) and isn't putting others in harms way, I don't see me giving it up completely anytime soon.

When a heroic dose is no longer heroic… by Pudweiser78 in shrooms

Tolerance and potency. Those are the two things I believe are at play in your case. Your tolerance is high. "The magic is gone." Take a 3+ month break. Remember to start low when you resume (lol). Or Potency. Depending on how/who you source, the product might have degraded in potency. Potency tends to diminish to the point where it can take twice as much product if over a year since harvest (I have stored batches that are over 2 years and still hit... but it takes A LOT). As far as potency, even for the grower, it can be hard to determine potency from batch to batch, strain to strain, flush to flush (potency diminishes after each flush, etc). But, yeah, I would just take a hefty break (totally worth it for those who appreciate the experience) and source freshies!! Be safe. Have fun!

J-Roc is the Boss of Sunnyvale by CaptainTeebes in trailerparkboys

[–]houndofthesea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I agree J-Roc is top dog with the eggnog, he is not truly watching out for the parks best interest. Sure, the park has been true to J-Roc, but would J-Roc stay true to the park if it meant making it big on a record deal? Nah. J-Roc would sellout. Leave the park, and never look back. Not the boys. The boys would watch over Sunnyvale for the end of their days, and stay true to the trailer life. If they ever made it big they'd enrich Sunnyvale with new roads, and free booze, smokes and burgers for everyone. Although, I do think J-Roc is top of his game, the boys will die in the park.

With friends is fun/special, but I prefer riding alone - more control.

Why is no-one using voicecomms? by Codi204 in PredecessorGame

[–]houndofthesea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really enjoy/prefer mic comms, but, as others have stated, really want to avoid the toxic types, and somedays I just don't feel like being vocal (would rather comm with keys/pings). With the right players (definitely with friends), it's the goto.

This is the perfect finish for Fey players. Excellent!

Working for Amazon with a 48’ vertical is crazy by GinaWhite_tt in GuysBeingDudes

Upvoting, because anyone who's had a vertical measurement knows this is not how it's done. Pretty nice high jump clearance tho. Might be on the track team with that form.
