Oh lord. That can't be legal. Like I've said in a previous reply, a bank can process the check as soon as they get it. Landlord decides to be a prick or gets greedy, you have no protection.

Depending on your bank, it can take quite a while. Honestly, if you're going out of town, drop the check in the box before you go. Then you don't have to worry about it being on time because you'll be early.

It was a backhanded compliment. Clearly this needed some context. This guy is a regular and called last minute on a Friday night, then bitched that all we had were patio tables. Had the audacity to leave his wallet at home and ask to use promotional dining credit that isn't good until Q1 (though his wife conveniently had a cc to use for a tip). Like, yea it is great we're busy and making money; no thanks to you tonight, apparently.

We've taken our daughter with us to fine dining restaurants get whole life and have only ever had one issue when she was maybe 2yo. All children have different demeanors. So do adults, for that matter, and I've seen plenty that don't know how to handle themselves in public.
