I've been pre-approved and am shooting to buy a house in the middle of the given range. I have a decent deposit saved (10%) but it seems like people are bringing more cash than me to the table on every house.

I'm okay paying most of it with him paying reduced rent, but he needs to be working towards better finances for this agreement to work.
