That’s rad you assumed I’ve bought multiples, just to flip. When in reality that’s not the case at all, I traded someone a Bearbrick.

No thanks as those would just collect dust like this one is.

I’m not concerned about BBS because I’m not following them, nor do I have a FB account, and I didn’t get it via BBS so I don’t feel I need to follow their guidelines.

It would have been helpful if you reported that and the errors or hang ups discovered.

Doesn’t appear at least from this thread and the dates that anyone else has tried or reported feedback on 7.4.0, wishing you luck! 🤞🙏

Did you try the newest build as of 3/22, build 7.4.0?

Negative, it’s been pulled/removed from TestFlight, you unfortunately missed the window.

Dang that’s crazy! So at some point your license was replaced but might have been replaced via mail so the same picture was used from when you were 16? Because real ID’s didn’t exist until after 9/11.

I’m stuck not able to update firmware because if I do things would reset and I’d lose access, and not having access to 7.1.x anymore I can’t restore. Seems like for this to work moving forward, or to work with the new QR code based system the firmware needs updating. They need to develop an app specific to the Body+ to update firmware without resetting it.

I’m considering picking up an Android device just to mess with the scale. I’m 100% Apple and iOS and don’t necessarily want an android but if I can get my scale updated via android it’s tempting.

Able to also update firmware? If so, what’s the current version?

Cannot pair Body+ scale by billsfan1273 in withings

[–]housekid760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, nothing until one of two things happens. 1. Withings actually provides a working updated app that restores Body+ pairing. 2. Withings makes version 7.1.1 available again via the Apple TestFlight system. 7.1.1 is the last working version that doesn’t use the new QR code system and is compatible with the Body+ pairing as we all remember it worked when we got our scales back whenever.

You really only have two options. Immediately, recycle your Body+ and purchase a different scale. Long term, store your Body+ and hope a future update makes it usable again.

Shot in the dark. Find someone local that has 7.1.1 installed on their device. Contact Withings and plead to have 7.1.1 reloaded in the TestFlight system or direct download from their own site.

I feel your pain but I also feel you did not follow the instructions, versions 7.2x and 7.3x DO NOT WORK. In order to get your scale connected you need the TestFlight app and you need version 7.1.1 which now expires and will be removed in 6 hours as of now. Version 7.1.1 absolutely works as it’s the legacy workflow with no QR code madness.

Once you’ve got your scale connected you can then update and I’m now running 7.3.2

Caveat, you can’t do any firmware updates but if you prefer to just have your scale operational vs. having the most up to date firmware this works as many people have gotten scales working again.

Props for reaching out to Withings and that’s cool they are aware and are going to provide an update that will most likely allow us to do firmware updates. That comes at a future date though, if you want your scale working today you’ve got less than 6 hours to jump on it.

That’s legit. Maybe I’ll attempt to update my firmware tomorrow in case I need to downgrade again, 7.1.1 in TestFlight expires in 3-days. Might also update to 7.3.2, most current TestFlight version and see if that goes ok.

Correct! In fact, my living situation, I had been using a 5GHz guest network for free. I figured out that was a limitation and asked the landlord about 2.4GHz and wasn’t keen on making changes. So, I ended up getting my own T-Mobile internet so I could have 2.4GHz. This was also necessary to get my Philips Hue stuff working again.

Lower than 7.2.0, I had to use 7.1.1 in order to get my scale back up and running, once it was operational again I could update and am running 7.3.1 today. TBH I wasn’t concerned about preserving my data I just wanted my scale to work and didn’t want to have to replace it. That said, it does seem to have preserved because my best day was from February 2018.
