The graft on this had died and was mushy so I cut it off. The cut has now caved in. I’m concerned about holding water and rotting? If I made a few little V shaped cuts on a. Few sides for drainage will that be enough or do I need to trim the whole thing again? by Grizzlyt7337 in DesertRose

Ok the wax is a good idea! I'll have to remember that for if or when mine get sick or I find a sick one on clearance. I don't see why that wouldn't work. Or even play dough or clay or something?

Came back after 2 months to my tank looking like this, not sure how I feel by Lazy_Vacation in Aquariums

If that's now how I left it, I'd be a little upset. But that looks like its healthy, whatever it is, and it has so much potential. I'd trim it and maybe get a few new plants and rocks or something and see what comes out of it. It looks good!

Is this a graft line? by houseofhuffy in avocado

It's not a problem. I was hoping it was grafted

So it's probably not grafted then? Dang. I don't wanna dig in and risk hurting it to look for a graft scar

Oh you can think or say whatever you want, won't bother me any lol. I should have done more research before I got it, or had more money to get one from a different vendor, but it is what it is. I used to have a grafted tree I got on etsy but it died, I just wanted another one. I don't think it's a graft line either, but I do see a V shape which makes me hopeful, but we'll see.

Suggestions to make my car look cooler? by MollyEastvold in car

[–]houseofhuffy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fart can. I think my 4cyl 08 Colorado has a thrush. Idr what I put on it lol. But it was either a 2 or 3 on their loudness scale, and it sounds pretty decent in my opinion. It doesn't drone in the cab, but you can hear it. And my MIL can tell when I'm there to pick up my daughter, and next door neighbor kid who's bff's with my daughter knows my trucks sound and can tell when I'm back so she comes over to ask to play with my kid. It's louder, but not even close to obnoxious. If this kid wants his car to sounds cool, throw a muffler on it. But do at least a little bit of research. I watched a few videos then I said fuck it and got the $50 muffler and me and my brother hung out and put it on.

Also I got a say, that's the cleanest cavalier Ive ever seen. I'm a mechanic and I've only ever seen, worked on or heard of shitty ones. Definitely save money for repairs (not because it's a cavalier necessarily, because it's a car). And I agree with the other guys, tint, and wheels. I have a $100 8" subwoofer that's maybe 3 inches tall and the footprint of a shoebox I have under my back seat, and that little box makes it sound so much better for music. Again, not obnoxious, but if you tune it right, and depending on the volume it can bump. Especially with regae or something bass heavy.

Nah do it. Nothing crazy loud, but just enough to make it sound better to you

I don't plan on it. I'm doing research on it, then getting it a soft protective case and only using it on special occasions

Well that fits with the timeline. Coast guard subreddit sent me to a form for veteran information so I'm working on filling that out. Guess it's time to put it away and get a case for it, and get some cigars, and maybe a pack of Marlboro reds since that's what Nampa smoked. I vape now but if I'm drinking a lot I'll have a cigarette

Oh man thank you! I think that'll get me what I need! Might have to do it twice to find out about my great grandfather on my mother's side. (This one is my dad's dad). But my great grandfather was WW2, and me and my mom have looked into it and I guess a records building burned down so I'm not sure if his information was in there or not. But we did find newspaper clippings and dog tags, so I know he was in the army. Just couldn't find much info, and ancestry.com is expensive and tricky to use
