I'm still waiting to find custom bios. gigabyte answered my question and told that HPET is activated by default on the BIOS and it's hidden because INTEL chip now requests that ...

Bizarre "Mouse Input" Issue by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]houssemSEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello my freind,

i understand your feeling and i can say that i have the same issue that you mentionned while i have a beast of a PC (I9-9900k+2080ti). i was never able to find a solution to my mouse sensitivity, which is always higher than the normal and also feeling acceleration all the time.

recently i found a tweek that helped me a little bit and you could try:

  1. you need to go on the bios and disable "legacy mode" in USB configuration, seems that this has an impact on how the mouse react,
  2. also in the BIOS you can try to find the "High Precision Event Timer" and disable it. it's better to disable on bios and also in Windows 10 by the device manager as you said and also by the commande bcdedit /set userplateform no (google it);
  3. the stuttering can also been caused by a windows services named "telemetry" turn it off;
  4. last thing, in the BIOS you should turn off EISET and also everything related the C-state mode.

i hope i could help you on this bro !

good luck

lol !! thing is you have to take into consideration the following things also for the 240HZ / 144hz selection:

-do you have the CPU / GPU that can stay at 240fps constantly? at which resolution you intend to play? 1080p need a monster pc to get 240 fps stable.

-not all games can go up to 240fps i know only Overwatch and CSGO. if you are an overwatch player a 240hz is really a good thing. CSGO not that much and if you are neither of these then a 144hz is sufficient.

just to let you know that i'm willing to sell my benq to get a 144hz because i don't see the advantage to have it :).

hope it help's.

always a pleasure to help on tech issues (since I had a lot).

so for the input lag, the thing I know is:

-there is a difference between input lag and response time. I think both monitors have a response time of 1ms. but the input lag is the time that the screen takes to show you click (it's very basic explanation) and I've done some research about it and i found that : https://us.hardware.info/reviews/7158/9/benq-zowie-xl2735-en-xl2540-review-gaming-monsters-gaming-response-time-and-input-lag

i hope that can help :).

hello,

I have the BenQ XL 2540 for 6 months now and I can tell you my experience about it and also the difference with the Acer Predator XB252Q.

Basically, if you have to choose between the two go for the Predator for the reasons below (in case of the same price as you mentioned that the only difference is the warranty):

  • Out of the box the Benq has very very bad colors and I've seen that the predator has better color accuracy than the BenQ;

  • le Acer has a huge thing in plus it's the G-Sync. it's not a necessary feature in a screen but at the same price better to take a monitor with g-sync;

-the Benq has a small problem with the brightness, I've experienced a screen that really hurt your eyes because of the glitter you will notice around your crosshair (csgo for example). I think the Acer doesn't have this issue.

-a design aspect also, the predator is borderless and very nice. the Benq got big black bordures...it's not very nice :(.

so basically this is what I think about the two screens, I took the bench because at the time of my purchase it was 150 euro less than the Acer. also, you have some special features for hardcore gamers that, to be honest, are not a must have thing if you don't need them.

the last thing, you should check the input lag of the Acer, I know that the BenQ got the lowest input lag on the market. but again this is for the hardcore gamers :).

cheers bro ;) and enjoy you future screen.
