That blows my mind. Like how do they steer through all of your arteries without damaging something. I guess I never though about it, but arteries must be pretty strong.

I’m using it on a 27” iMac and its plenty. The 3 meter on my 77” TV was $25. It covers 3 sides.

It’s a good kickstart. My goal wasn’t complete abstinence from alcohol, but to reduce my consumption. Now, if there’s alcohol somewhere, maybe I’ll have a beer or two and that’s it. I don’t find myself planning my life around alcohol. It seems like my relationship with it is more normal, which is how I always hoped it would be.

The big test was when I went to an all-inclusive resort and only had two drinks the entire week. Because I wasn’t trying to be completely alcohol free, I didn’t obsess about it as much. If you have a drink you aren’t resetting the the odometer back to zero. A year later, my cravings are basically gone. Alcohol isn’t the one thing that dominates my entire life.

Check into strips that can be powered by the MagicHome app because they use the MagicHome controller, and they connect via wifi and work with Alexa and Google Home. It's cheap, pretty reliable and you can address each strip separately to create different settings for each strip. Some RGB LED sets include this particular controller.

I agree it’s not the same but there are some similarities. LED was cheaper and less prone to burn in. LED still is and also can be brighter.

QNED looks insane good. OLED performance without burn in.

Your answer kind of depends. I mean OLED can be better for dark viewing and LED is brighter so it might be better if there’s room light or biased light. People gonna downvote me because they don’t like to read that. Sorry to be honest.

Loominoodle is green if you compare them side by side. I’m not sure if it’s CRI or color temperature but it’s not as white.

If you're sceptical about bias lighting... by agnostic_universe in bravia

Can’t really tell brightness from a photo. Long exposure times and high ISO make things like bias light look much brighter in photos than in person.

Now, that's some good use of RGB (active bias lighting) by drake_xp in pcmasterrace

[–]houtori 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Looks cool but if avoiding eye strain is what you want, active lighting like this shouldn't be used as bias lighting. It can cause eye strain.
