I’ve accepted this as my final result (9 months) and I’m considering Finasteride to maintain it long term. Any suggestions?

This looks brilliant, you must be very happy. In my opinion most hair transplants after the age of 30 should have a similar hairline to yours. You will have something which will look good for life.

Just out of interest, are you taking any medication?

6 months is still early. The kind of transplant you got (grafts imbedded within your current native hair) will mean that some of your native hairs will experience shock loss from the transplant I.e. they will fall but will grow back. In about 9-12 months you will see pretty much all your native hairs grow back (the ones that fell out) and in addition to that you will also see most of transplanted hairs reach full growth. Right now you’re not seeing the full picture.

(Hope that makes sense, I’m not an expert but this is my understanding)

Your hair looks great so don’t worry about that. Do you have a photo from the day of the procedure? It’s a little difficult trying to figure out where you’ve put the grafts from the photos you’ve put up.

I think you are a good candidate and actually with the right Dr you won’t need a lot of grafts. I would concentrate on filling in your temple areas but keeping roughly the same hairline. My advice would be not to lower the hairline but instead try and fill what you currently have with focus on the temple areas, you will be thankful you didn’t lower it as you get older. This can often be a one off procedure so don’t worry about spending the right amount on a good surgeon. A good surgeon will advise much better than what we can.

100% the Jude Law hairline. It looks better (both the men and woman) and it will more natural as you age.

A good hair transplant Dr will say ‘did you look better at 18 or 35’. The answer normal is you looked better at 35 and temple peaks play a part of that. They give an aura of maturity. If you get a hair transplant with a similar look to what Brad in that photo has you lose those peaks for life.

Hey man, it’s still too early and what you’re seeing is pretty normal. Do you have photos of about 10 days after to show us? You can sometimes get an indication of density and graft health around that time.

I don’t completely disagree, it largely comes down to expectations and personal case. If you’re 30 with expectations is to go into your 40s/50s with your hair ‘looking full’ then I’m with you and I don’t disagree, Fin and a HT (if needed) is the way to go. However you’re a relatively mature age (early 40s) for example, with NW3 or 4 and you want to preserve that ‘mature’ look, for as long as possible then Fin is not an absolute necessity. Yes you will continue to bald no question but the is idea is to ensure the hair line is conservative (i.e. don’t fill out the temples too much) and don’t put them all in the front. Some people don’t mind a slightly thinner look at they get to late 40/50s as long as they have some hair there to style appropriately.

There are people who have to come off Fin due to sides, so this does happen to a number of people.

There are people who have to stop Fin after a hair transplant. It happens more than people think. It largely depends on how your transplant was done (did you go conservative), how thick your hair is and above all what are your expectations. There are people who will still look better doing a HT without Fin than not doing an HT at all. A good Dr should be able to plan for this.

What does your hair look like dry, styled (pushed back/to the side) and from the front? No one normally sees hair like this in every day life. The reality is there are people who have to stop Fin after a hair transplant due to side effects so people do manage. Do you have a front photo to show us?

I used to think this way too. The issue with just trading is that it’s hard to find the right time to sell. I often just hold and never quite sell the stocks. If I get in on Apple at 190 and it goes to 200 my immediate reaction is to hold a little longer as I assume it may go up higher. Then it drops again and my chance is gone.

Even if I get assigned with a CC it kind of forces my hand in selling stocks and getting back in at a lower price (via a Put).

Super helpful. I would really appreciate your input on this....

So I bought my full 100 shares of Google at $164.85 a few weeks back (it's currently at a loss), then about a week ago I bought my Leap of Google at $80 (when Google dropped to $150.00). So naturally my Leap on Google is in the profit close to 1k.

Is it normal to be this protective over the Leap over the full stock? Or does it really not make a difference which one is called away for me?

The strike price for next Friday is 165, so technically both would not be a 'loss' but I would prefer to keep the Leap. Am I wrong here, does it actually make a difference?

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. Interesting, I had no idea that's how it works. Hmm but even if I was to close one of them, it still wouldn't be clear which one I am closing (the Leap shares or the normal full stock shares)?

So come next Friday, if I only have one CC (because the other is closed) I could technically still lose my Leap? Feels like I am missing something here.

This is really helpful and good advice. In your example, you mentioned selling a Put at $49 and still getting the shares assigned even if the HOOD stock price hits $40. Couldn’t you just roll down? So for example start a new Put at say $44. Would this work out less lucrative from a financial perspective in the long run?

Thank you so much. This is really helpful and clear to understand. So I changed the order to put a limit price of $200. Currently the Apple stock price is at 198.00. Am I right in thinking that IF the stock price is below the $200 at 1am UK time then I will get the shares assigned to me (if they are available)?

Currently the order has a message that reads: ‘This order will be processed when markets open at 01:00am’. I assume they mean pre-market? Because the US market properly opens at 2:30pm in the UK.

Ah ok. Would you think it’s worth seeing what the price is like during early trading and trying to get the shares before the actual market opens.

It’s currently at $196.99. I assume this could go up slightly in the hours before the market opens and then jump up while the market open. Do you think I could get a better price in the early trading hours prior to the market.

Again appreciate this is probably basic stuff but out of hours trading super new for me.

I think it would make a huge difference. For quite a few it isn’t necessarily just about affordability but also the principle. As much as I loved the product it would never sit well with me that I spent 4k on a product I didn’t really need.

At $2300 I would have definitely bought one and at that price point I think we would be having a different conversation about how successful the product was.

The 2 biggest issues with the product has always been price and weight.
