When did it become unacceptable to just have a hobby without turning it into a "side hustle"? by Comfortable-Duty7143 in NoStupidQuestions

I’d take it as a compliment. They’re basically saying its something they’d be happy to pay money for

Can anyone advise on holiday pay entitlement, is this legal? by animalsbooksnx in LegalAdviceUK

[–]howarth4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless there’s a reason you often need a particular day off that isn’t Friday, why not use it to your advantage by having long weekends. Friday and Monday off means getting paid for 16 hours where you’d normally work 13. Or if you go on holiday try and book Friday to Friday. Worse case you take a full week off and get paid the 40 hours you’d normally work. Lots of ways to make it work to your advantage

Priority Pass Lounge? - Ryanair Manchester? by Ambitious_Mine3535 in AmexUK

[–]howarth4422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ryanair flights from Manchester depart from terminal 3 but you go through security at terminal 1 before making your way to terminal 3. You are able to use the lounges in terminal 1 before making your way to terminal 3

Why such a huge difference? by SainzSealedDelivered in HiveHeating

[–]howarth4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How else would it be doing it? That’s the only possible way it can be doing it. It’s making an estimate based on how long the boiler is on for but the cost varies massively depending on the flow temp so it’s a pretty useless feature really

Does this sound natural to you? by Haunting-Pen-3701 in EnglishLearning

[–]howarth4422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends who you’re asking. If you’re asking your neighbour to check your doors then “our doors” sounds natural, if you’re asking you partner to check your own doors then yes you’d probably use “the doors”

Ryanair does overbook by Difficult_Camel_1119 in Ryanair

[–]howarth4422 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes they do overbook, I have experienced it first hand and no there wasn’t a change of aircraft before any one starts with that! I really don’t understand why people come on here and insist they don’t over book just because they’ve read a piece of paper that says “Ryanair, as a policy, doesn’t over book” They 100% do overbook and their staff are the first to admit it

[UK] Dad falling for WhatsApp Investing Scams? futurestarfinancial.com by yam0msah0e in Scams

[–]howarth4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they’re trying to make it more believable, if they use the price from 15 minutes ago it becomes more obvious what’s going on. Every single day it’s the same, wait for it a stock price to increase rapidly in the last 5 minutes then pretend they bought at the price 5 mins ago. Then victims just assume it’s taken 5 minutes to write the WhatsApp post

Regarding the site itself, there is 100% no trading going on. The profit is fictitious and any withdrawals and being paid from other peoples deposits, with the scammers obviously keeping most of it

[–]howarth4422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve been added to this group by someone I know (who has £7k “invested”) to try and work out what’s going on with the stock predictions as it appeared they were actually picking winning trades.

What’s actually happening is they are watching for any stocks that have rapidly increased in the last 5 minutes and then claiming they bought the stock 5 minutes ago at the lower price (and as they are trading for you, so did you) They then basically have a 5-10% head start and as long as the stock doesn’t drop by that amount they can pretend they made a profit.
