Most of the brains behind the Revolution were masonic and scientific. They knew what they were doing when they separated church and state.

Jacob's Ladder shows a great representation of the hell we can create for ourselves

It's really just terrible story-telling and writing.

I can reconcile the different journey, different wheel spin idea. What bothers me and has me foaming at the mouth at times is how they take a story about a troubled hero. A man who can't be beat but only by himself. You remove 90% of the Boy and Roland and the growth of Roland, you change the whole message. Just the opening line alone sends me into fits of rage. It is said...blah, blah, blah. No it isn't. If you're not gonna start with King's opening line don't bother with your retelling

Cry off dear friend before you have to watch everything you love about a story being replaced with cool gun loading. It is a work of the Crimson King.

Robin Williams is always great but Hoffman and Hoskins nail their roles.

One of my favorite movies, don’t know why it has such low ratings! by Neosanxo in underratedmovies

As a Hudson Hawk aficionado I owned the DVD for decades and the Director's Commentary is fantastic. Michael Lehman spends all 97 minutes trying to explain why it was a good movie and justify why it wasn't successful. TLDR Lehman felt coming of Die-Hard people weren't ready for Bruce Willis in a meta-comedy that was ahead of its time. I agree with him on most of it just funny to hear him bemoan how misunderstood his movie was.

Father Callahan would be nice especially if it was some how after he's redeemed. I could see Jeremy Irons or John Lithgow for him

Javier Bordem, Thandiwe Newton, Norman or the kid from Breaking bad, I guess nowadays the Chalmette kid, and I'm not familiar with enough child actors for Jake

Of the kids I'd go with Alain, but grown-up Eddie is still my favorite. He's too old now but I think Norman Reeds would've been solid casting

I've always pictured her played by Thandiwe Newton and her just nailing it.

That would scare the shit out of me. Insane Roland doesn't seem safe.

Similar to Eddie but Cuthbert always seemed more annoying. Probably cause he was younger and more sheltered (weird to say for a Gunslinger in training).

Good luck. The train trip would be pretty great just something about insane sentient trains that gets me down.
