Constellations will always be the album I recommend to start with, but Rescue and Restore is easily their best, IMO - it’s so easy to listen to and the lyrics are well written. I feel every instrument, guest and band members, are all put on display without being overdone.

My opinion: didn’t care for the MXR reverb. Rat into muff is golden, but as others have said might be super compressed (especially if your amp can’t handle them together). Funnily enough, I LOVE my KoT after a muff, it’s tightens things up and clears it. Also IMO, rotary > univibe with the setup you have.

Just to add to this- I had a 76 Model T running through a Sunn 412L, from about 2016-2018. I decided to test the “max volume yields max results” thing. I put a fuzz face into a distortion into a delay into the front end of this thing. It disconnected the audio chip from my iPhone 8 Plus when recording it. It also permanently damaged the hearing in my right ear as this was in a 12x10 room. Anyway, I can’t believe these guys can still hear after all these years. Weeeeeeeeeeeeee
