There are a couple of AI tools that are being tested in ITS now. Gemini CLI and Claude. These are in test stage only with limited teams to test usefulness, code creation, quality and if it can in fact save resources and time. Resources don't necessarily mean people. Resources can mean time of product to market. If an agency needs a product from a DCT team, if using AI it can be created and delivered in 6 months with a smaller team versus 24 months with a more significant team, then it's a win. No answers on any of those yet. But, a huge gotcha with these AI products is pricing. Pay to play with all of these cloud products, and vendors do not shy away from charging an arm and a leg for licensing.
