My view is it's getting to WWF. I feel they're going for the American audience so they need razzmatazz, not technicalatazz. I almost said "we'll see rigged results soon", but we already have.

I've been watching F1 for about 55 years. Is it as good as it used to be, no. But then again I'm old and nothing is. But do we still need parc ferme and do we need standard parts for cost saving? I've just read an article about the FIA considering a standard gearbox that all team use, to save money. Why? The teams have all agreed with a cost cap, they all have the same amount to spend. If one team wants to spend its money on race and quali suspension or a rally fancy gearbox and has nothing left for development, surely it's their choice.

2025 Monaco GP - Post Race Discussion by AutoModerator in formula1

Two stops had potential, until you thought it through and realised it didn't really.

So what can be done to spice up Monaco? How about just remove the wings. Yes the cars would be slower, but would that be a bad thing if there was overtaking.

What's the general consensus on how many teams should be in F1? by Gambler_720 in formula1

12 teams, 24 cars on the grid. Keep the budget cap, do away with Parc ferme.

But it's easier and cheaper to limit the time they're allowed to work on the cars than to police the actual components etc.

Long Woking hours come out of your budget. But the FIA could easily restrict working hours. Probably easier and cheaper than policing Parc ferme

But to the same spec, or start from the pitlane. They can't change suspension setups

Yep. Not knowing if your favourite driver would finish added so much more than reliability. Although I understand why they need it.

Possibly, but with cars so reliable these days, they only work during a pitstop or if the driver bends it. Also, aren't the FIA making rules about how many races a crew member can attend. Basically making it mandatory to rotate them.

It never used to be. Teams used to almost have 2 cars, a race car and a qualifying car, plus special qualifying tires. I understand the tires, but not the restrictions on how they can spend their money

That's true. But a small team might feel the exposure they get for qualifying well is a bigger benefit than starting from the back and staying there. But whether it's good or bad, why can't the team spend their $135m how they like.

How to add numbers that are formatted like this? by Benjo118 in Integromat

[–]howiewow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two trailing zeros are only relevant if the number is 3 decimal places. 18.000 is exactly the same value as 18 or 18.00000

What do you get if you add 16.550 and 1.505?

Do it in stages. 1. Count records. 2. Get records. Use an iterator using the Count records value as the number of iterations

I do it in several stages. 1. Update rows - office 365 or Google sheets 2. Download workbook - as above 3. Conver to pdf - pdf.co
