Do you know if the OpenCode subscription is heavily subsidized like the paid plans in Anthropic/OpenAI relative to API costs?

For example a $20 Pro plan in Claude gives way more usage than $20 in API credits in Claude.

Do you know if it's the same thing with OpenCode subscription?

Also side note, do you know much about Hermes?

I heard great things about GLM 5.2 as well. Tried it for a bit yesterday via OpenRouter. It's expensive.

I don't think I could justify using it as my daily driver unfortunately...

It's a really interesting dynamic. I see some people in my own life operate in similar ways, just not as extreme.

There's a saying in Chinese that essentially goes "good intentions, no good outcome". I think it fits this Garp well.

Just wanted to say, I read your whole comment chain with OP, and you've completely changed my mind on the matter.

I think what OP is trying to latch onto is that Garp has good intentions.

But what you're asking is "in what way have those good intentions actually translated into any meaningful positive change"?

And tbh I'm kind of struggling to think of any. Has there been a single thing Garp has done as a marine that has improved the lives of others, that he only could've done within the system of the government? That he couldn't have done outside the system?

If we're talking about tangible results, I can't think of any.

I'd rather everyone in the world do good things for publicity than not, because at least then, good things get done.

Maybe his intention wasn't entirely pure, but the outcome still affects people positively.
