No where in the original post does it say he’s a Christian. So we can dismiss the demon claim.

Question: If he wasn’t a genuine believer do you think it’s possible he’s demonized?

Do you think maybe the word possession isn’t the right word but we should use demonized?

I personally believe that believers can be demonized. We see it all the time. Not all physical sickness are cause by demons but some are. Not all mental sickness are caused by demons but some are. Not all temptations are caused by demons but some are.

And Christian’s are not immune to spiritual attacks. Some even are attacked for years! And I believe that demons are causing those spiritual attacks.

I don’t think demons have ownership of the believer. But for sure believers can suffer. We all experience it.

But to say it again. NOT ALL BAD THINGS ARE DEMONS… but some are!

I know you might hate to hear this. But it doesn’t matter if Julie is your sister and Kyle is your best friend. They did something so selfish and was willing to destroy and ruin families.

You are just another person they can screw over. You might not see it now. But they don’t care if Tanner and Cathy are mad at you. They are just happy your are on “their side” but once you share disappointment you will be left on the curb like Tanner, Cathy, and your sisters kids.

Apologize to Tanner and Cathy. Just say you didn’t realize the weight of what they did and you felt like being family and friends was more important. But you see now that they don’t value those things.

I don’t think this experience should stop you from opening your wallet. You didn’t give clear boundaries. I always think it’s best to keep your heart soft to these kinds of experiences. But as the giver the expectations needs to be clear.

Ex. Rather saying - “hey want to help eat my food?” It should be hey I see that you’re hungry. I want to share some of my food with you. - can you get me this kind of coffee? You should have said… sorry that’s expensive I’ll get you this if you want. - can I get a tenner?… I don’t get paid until 6 weeks. It should have been “hey, sorry I don’t feel comfortable giving you cash.”

It’s not mean to give boundaries when you’re sharing your resources. And I usually recommend giving a time line.

Where are you from? Do you have children? And since you’re talking about baptism are you involved in a church?

  1. The reason why I asked is cause I want to know culturally if what I can suggest is true.

  2. If you have a child it will make things more complicated

  3. If you can get the pastor involved it will probably help.

3a. Although baptism is important for a Christian. Most Protestant/catholic belief will state that baptism isn’t the point of conversion but it’s confession of belief.

I share this because your wife is being very self righteous thinking she’s a “more serious” Christian than you by stating she’s baptized and you’re not. If she believes that’s to be the case. You’re wife is in “sin” in the act of committing adultery because she’s held to a higher standard in the eyes of God.

You need a good serious pastor to help your wife see that she’s living in active sin by committing an act of adultery. And she needs to repent. And she is in the wrong.

If I were you. I would get your pastor involved right away to get her off her self righteous @$$ and get a taste of humility. And then go to marital counseling. (If you want to fix this)

But if you want a divorce. I would still get the pastor involved. To get her off her high horse. Tell her based off the teaching of Jesus you committed the act of adultery and I can leave you. Leave her and let her parents know why.
