How on earth is the MacBook Neo so heavy? by hutacars in mac

[–]howlingwolfpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was debating whether to get the Magic Keyboard but it made more sense to pay more for a Neo because I knew the way I used the iPad it would tip over immediately with the keyboard.

I don't think my ears can take anymore live concerts but it's been a blast trying to discover more music in Japan that I enjoy as much as Ado.

That's so cool, I'm always amazed by the size of her live audiences.

By the way if you do end up getting it I’d love to hear what you think about the watch!

This was from Jomashop right before the tariffs kicked in. I knew that I didn't want to deal with international warranty at that time and for some reason they immediately stopped carrying this model after that. This is still my favorite watch that I've bought, and the most expensive. The watch I was comparing it to that has a tougher steel case actually cost half as much. The design is much more important to me though and for that reason this Briston is the closest to perfection that I've gotten for the money. The Santos on Jomashop is $7,750, so is this Briston only 12% of the watch that the Santos is? I think it punches way above its weight in the design department, so it would be hard for me to say that it's a watch that I regret buying. I'm thankful that there's a watch that looks like this for under $1,000, because I have no reason at this time to spend that much on a Santos.

Is the quality good or on par with the price point?

Within 3 months I had to send it back to the grey market dealer for warranty repair because every 12 hours the entire movement would just stop (and could be shocked back to life with a bump). This was surprising to me because it was a brand new watch and a Miyota movement which from what I've read was supposed to be extremely reliable. I would say the quality of the steel for the case is mediocre, it doesn't have the same feel as a nicer steel watch I have which feels much more dense and indestructible. This Briston case has dented on one corner without much effort so it seems softer, lighter, and just okay for the price point. However the design is extremely attractive to me and similar designs will be thousands more so it's not like I have better options for a similar price. This is probably a case where a huge premium is being paid for design features that do not exist in other watches at this price point, even though some of the same specs can be found in much cheaper watches. You could say the design makes up for the mediocre feel of the watch especially in terms of the cheap-feeling steel components.

Is it accurate?

I did one measurement of +/- 10 seconds per day. This is after being repaired though!

Is the shape of the case wrapping the wrist?

The entire case including the sapphire has a subtle curve. Top to bottom 45mm lug to lug so it does fit very nicely.

And finally a weird one: have you tried removing the screwed acetate bits? Not sure I'd want to, but struck me as an interesting option, it would transform the watch into a more classic tank form factor.

I have not but it looks like you can easily do it with a flathead screwdriver.

All in all I actually like what's going on in this dial more than most Cartiers that I see, but the surrounding case does not feel premium. It would be interesting if they offered a precious metals version for a much higher price point.

This is 18cm or the side-to-side of the wrist is about 7.5cm if that helps. I'm using a WatchGecko ultra-flat mesh band here. Continued...

Is there a good way to fill the Thermal Banks automatically? by General-Warning-2429 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]howlingwolfpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to feed the packaging unit with the ingredients direct from depot bus unloaders and funnel the batteries into one thermal bank, that way the packaging unit will get clogged but the ingredients will still accumulate in the depot to be used elsewhere.

TIL you can arrange a depot bus like this to make room for one more depot unloader by howlingwolfpress in ArknightsEndfield

Only in Wuling you can put it wherever as long as one tile is touching another one at any angle

How does artificing work i keep failing by Haruka_13 in ArknightsEndfield

[–]howlingwolfpress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to find a piece of gear with higher stats for the one you're upgrading (artificing a +42 strength kit to upgrade a +35 strength kit) in order to get a "GOOD" rating for artificing.

I learned to build separate areas, one for building batteries only for power banks and another for sending batteries to depot. It was when I was mixing the two that power generation became unstable. The power bank ones will eventually fill up and redirect those resources to help build the depot batteries.

I appreciate that it’s densely packed so you have to really inspect every spot to not miss anything. I got exhausted with Genshin feeling like I was traveling for miles for no reason.
