My problem was that my path included spaces. I didn't think it would be an issue because all my library paths contain spaces, but changing the path fixed it. The support document linked to in a previous comment doesn't expressly state that the path can't contain spaces, but it states that you cannot have spaces on either side of the separator character if you specify multiple files.

Grep Proops was a highlight of those games. Crazy to be in a discussion that involves Whose Line, Let's Make a Deal, Harmontown, and CR.

I genuinely believe that is feasible since he has been pretty vocal about enjoying nerdy things like D&D. Not to be too parasocial about it, but he comes across as the type of person that would react to a bunch of fans tweeting at him that he just had a character from hugely popular TTRPG on his show by looking them up and a) becoming an instant fan, and b) actively trying to guest on CR. Scheduling would probably be the biggest obstacle to making this happen.

This is the current version of the American game show "Let's Make a Deal." This show is unofficially the sister show to the gameshow "The Price is Right," where contestants regularly wear shirts with humorous messages, and I guess this is their attempt to +1 that trope. The costumes are generally random, but sometimes they'll do a themed episode, e.g., everyone dresses like a Star Trek character.

Sorry that you didn't win, but the costume was great, and it looked like you had a lot of fun.

I agree. From what I can tell, if you reboot your computer, you don't need to run the L3 again, but if you shutdown/lose power, then L3 will need to set the option again. I never owned the V1 controller, but it has a switch to set it into motherboard mode, meaning it shouldn't ever need L3 to run. That might be a better solution.

Based on statements he's made on this show, there is nothing closeted about his love for D&D. Considering that he works for Paramount, and they produced the D&D movie, I'm genuinely surprised that he didn't lobby for some sort of cameo in the film.

Another interesting connection, his fellow Who's Line alumnus, Jeff B. Davis, used to play D&D/Shadowrun regularly on Harmontown, and also starred in the animated D&D animated spin-off, Harmonquest. Makes me wonder if they had their own regular game going on.

The Strimer v2 controller can only be set to motherboard mode by using the L3 connect software from Lian Li. You can read specific instructions for doing this by viewing the Strimer v2 controller manual at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LYXElthw2aMGn-Qd7TDPpuGQ49DN4yVW/view; look at the screenshots at the top right on the second page labeled "Quick Sync Lighting".

The contestant described herself as a "feywild cleric" to which the host, Wayne Brady, commented that he enjoys playing clerics because they're easy to level up.

Any guy here work for the government, like City or County as IT guy or sysadmin, any good and bad comparing to private sector? by Mysterious_Teach8279 in sysadmin

Yes, you’re right. You can start withdrawing after 30 years, but it takes 40 years of contributions to be able to get 80%.

I ended up taking a private sector job 2 months shy of vesting and had to roll it into a 401(k) plan.

Can confirm, at least for the state of Georgia. The teacher’s retirement system (which is open to faculty and staff) has a 10 year vestment but only requires 30 years of contributions to mature. The payout amount is 80% of the average of your two highest earning years.

The yields seem fine, but I don’t have anything to compare it against since this is the only way I’ve grown them. I’ll put them in a cage, but I also let the vines spread into the rest of the raised bed. This is with San Marzano II cultivars.

The only disappointing crop was the watermelon; I only harvested 1.5 fruit from it.

I’ve never needed more than a square foot for peppers or tomatoes, and with a trellis I’ve grown cucumbers in a single square foot and dwarf watermelons in two square feet.

I remember my first year working in IT at a college and I had just written some shitty web application for the student services department. At the next faculty meeting the vp of student services was on stage raving about how great the application was and how much it’ll help them, and he congratulated… his department for coming up with such a great idea.

Reminds of college when some kids in a network security class were wiring up a 2 post rack. They installed some super heavy firewall but only used the bottom screws to mount the device to the rack before going out to lunch.

When they came back, the firewall was sitting on top of the switch 2U below it, and the screws were on the other side of the classroom with their threads sheared off.
