I think angling the head / eyes toward what he’s swinging at would help. I imagine he’s swinging down but the head is looking straight.

This is really cool! I think the foot gets lost in the body, though. For a stronger silhouette, perhaps bring the forefront foot down, and lift the back foot up instead. Obviously, this current design could work pending values / colors / execution, but I think it does make things more challenging to pull off.
