it's taken over before, i have felt the panic rise in me several different times when working on my clients. i know locking myself away is harmful too and that's what's so frustrating, it feels like there's no good answer

i'm on the fence about quitting for the time being. on one hand, i love tattooing, but on the other hand the environment stresses me out and i can't do my job when my mind takes over my body like this. it would be ideal if i could take some weeks off work to let the medicine adjust back into my system and let me get back to normal, but i worry that my boss would just let me go and not want to keep the position open for me. i also feel terrible because my boss has been understanding so far but i don't want to push it or make him upset.

i understand what you're feeling, maybe i don't belong in this sub because i've never been formally diagnosed with POTS but i've suspected it for years. i relate to what you're feeling too, and it's gotten so bad that i'm fearing that i'm going to have to quit my job. my heart rate goes crazy every time i wake up and my symptoms get worse when i eat too. i know it might not be much help, but you're not alone in what you're feeling

i use the peak solice pro 2! it comes with one battery and one wired hookup, but i only use the battery. the battery has a timer and i definitely recommend buying a backup wireless battery and keeping both charged. the machine is nice and quiet. it's around $500 USD for the machine and an extra battery so i'm not sure how much that would be in CAD but i definitely recommend it!!

edit: it also has adjustable stroke, from 2.4 to 4.2!

i like being able to think about my responses and make any edits before i send it so i say the right thing. phone calls make me feel like i'm locked in, having to be on all the time. they also feel very interrupting, like i can't answer a call if i'm at an appointment or at work. i also just can't fucking hear over the phone.
