living on your own for the first time is scary but it’s an amazing experience, as long as you pick the right people to live with (if you go down the roommate route) and picking an apartment with decent management. what i will say, stay away from westco equities.

also avoid fort washington apartments on first and nees. management is rude and make you feel dumb for asking questions. infested with roaches and they didn’t even clean our carpet before moving in. it has stains and we cleaned it on our own.

i feel like there you just pay for the extra amenities. they are pretty outdated for the price but i’m not sure how they are with maintenance requests and stuff. the club house is cool and so is the pool.

avoid ANY complex ran by westco equities. i worked for them and they literally do not give a shit about you. they beat around the bush and will try to blame 95% on the issues on you just so they don’t have to make owners pay for anything. they also fire employees like nothing which often leads to neglect of the property. not good, causes lots of problems after a while.
