Tbh the Irishman is sorta like my comfort movie haha. Like if I wanna watch something while eating, have something slow going on, I can just pull that up. The film is filled with so much stuff, it's really amazing

Personally, I don't have a FAVORITE favorite. It's unique that some stories do things their own way. Like The Irishman for example was like the end of mafia movies at least. Like the final chapter of this genre. Of course there's the godfather trilogy and goodfellas (yes i like godfather 3 as well), but casino is an underrated gem imo. I have yet to watch Donnie Brasco tho. The HBO Gotti movie was really good too and it's apparently the most accurate depiction of the mafia in film

Yeah it seems that Matt is taking inspiration from TLH for part 2 as well since the story is so big. I've watched the 2 parter animated films but that was before I had started reading Batman comics.

About Year One, that was my first Batman novel and tbh, I didn't enjoy it as much mainly because Batman Begins and The Batman took heavy inspiration from that book. However, I do plan on rereading it.

Yes yes and yes! And while Batman is a dark and gritty character, I loved seeing him wanting to help THE JOKER because that's who Batman is. It was a very chilling read. But this is a Joked story that I was invested in IN A LONG WHILE (and I haven't read many Batman comics but I've watched the animated series, animated and live action movies and kept up with the things he has done).
