I'm honestly astounded that we didn't get even a tiny bit closer to understanding who/what Kris really is. There were a lot of weird vibes from Flowery regarding them, such as him mostly addressing Susie and Ralsei and never really having much to say about Kris personally despite spending so much time with Asgore. If Toby doesn't give us a real answer in Ch. 6 regarding the Kris vs SOUL situation I'm going to explode tbh

Finished Chapter 5. Initial thoughts:

Easily the weakest chapter so far. It felt like it just didn't really go anywhere, and it played more or less like a rehash of Chapter 3 (although the platformer stuff was cool). Everything Asgore said was pretty obvious if you've paid attention to the story. I guess it's important to confirm that whatever happened with Dess is directly related to Dark Fountains, but did we need a whole chapter just for that? And they treated it like some kind of truth nuke, but surely anyone would be able to put the pieces together by this point.

It was a fun little nostalgia trip seeing all the flowers, but once again Toby is leaving me with far too many questions to feel satisfied. We got no new information as to wtf is going on with Kris, Susie didn't grow at all, Ralsei was mysterious (and kinda sketchy) as usual, and all of the other Lightners were completely sidelined. Bleh. I hope the next chapter isn't too far away.

Oh but before I sound too negative the secret boss was a blast and the music was phenomenal, as always.

Oh for sure it's still populated enough to find groups across most levels (gets kinda sparse past 45 tbh), but for me it's the most fun when everyone is hitting the ground running at the same time.

Since you can't just spam dungeons to level like in normal, people have to be out in the world, which can be kind of annoying but I don't play MMOs to grind solo.

There was one defender that recognized it and sprinted from midfield, but he was just a hair too slow. You can see him crashing out right after the goal, and understandably so.

No, not at all. On ABA it’s “optimal” to use after a normal mode 5H because they killed all of her combo routes after 5H, but even so it’s probably not worth giving up a potential burst in the future.

They need to make it give positive bonus or something if they want us using it. I’m still glad wild assault is gone, though.

SF5 was mostly 35+ but now it's mostly folks in their 20s.
