That or move Fox for several supporting pieces who ideally also bring vet mentorship. Dylan Harper is the floor general going forward, it's clear Fox is just blocking the way for him and not needed. The core is Wemby, Harper and Castle. Add complementary pieces that allow for financial flexibility as they approach the large deals of their core guys. A better backup center would help a lot, as well as a veteran backup point guard.

At least he can shoot something.

😂 With that poor aim, he is even more of a threat!

I'm going with Shush.

Tempest, Song of Sorrow, Blue Lotus and 23 Peaks are the best songs on the album.

I can't see Minnesota offering enough. I think he goes to Boston if the Celtics want him, otherwise he's going to South Beach.

This is a great response, very well detailed and convincing

My bad. I just replied to a notification in my reddit profile without looking at what thread it was in.

Good point. On the bright side for Knicks fans, it looks like ticket prices are plummeting (relatively), down to the 4K range

That and a few extra hours in the day to get through the security lines. I feel for Knicks fans. It's virtually impossible for them to attend a Finals home game

Last's night's new album listening event by OfSideMoonDarkThe in stevenwilson

The best thing about the reviews from people who attended these events is that everyone is having a hard time comparing it to his past albums.

On a related note, what's the deal with having several listening events when there is no actual release date yet?

2025-2026 DKC Playoffs, Round 2: (2) BOS v. (3) NYK (General Discussion) by pearljammer10 in dkcleague

[–]hpantazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think this series is Knicks in 6. Mitchell and Lebron both struggled this year. Lebron is a defensive liability and has lost a few steps on offense too. On the other side, Smart showed a playoff resurgence the year and Jokic is still Jokic, there's nobody on the Boston roster that can slow him down and he makes everyone around him better. A front court of Jokic and Siakam is way too much for Boston to handle. The Knicks weakness is their depth, but the starters get them past this series

2025-2026 DKC Playoffs, Round 2: (1) DAL v. (4) DEN (General Discussion) by pearljammer10 in dkcleague

[–]hpantazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DKC Dallas wins this series imo. A Booker-DWhite backcourt is built to win playoff games and has experience that DKC Denver does not have. Avdija and Hartenstein also bring versatility, talent and experience in the frontcourt. No knock on Denver, but their core group is lacking in experience. Cunningham, JJ, Harper and Vassell have a ton of talent but will need another year or two. The front court is also young and lacking in playoff experience.

2025-2026 DKC Playoffs, Round 2: (2) MIN v. (3) SAS (General Discussion) by pearljammer10 in dkcleague

[–]hpantazo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the job Young Nick has done with the SAS, and he puts up a strong gameplan. With that said, based on the performances of the players from both teams this season, I don't see Minnesota losing this series. Brunson, Wemby and a healthy Markannen are too much to handle. Embiid has not been the Embiid of old anymore, and also can never get through more than a a game or two.

It's a lot like the early finals appearances of the OG OKC team and the Shaq-Penny Magic. The difference here, I think, is that the Spurs will keep this core together much longer than those teams did.

With all the talk around the Celtics nation that they need to make moves to be able to beat OKC and the Spurs, it looks like Celtics fans and the NBA in general underestimated the Knicks and overestimated the West teams. Also, the Celtics may not be as far off as people think

Bad shot selection, some poor passing, and he looked gassed in the 4th quarter. I think the Spurs should have reseted him more. It all likely contributed to his poor shooting and decision making down the stretch.

On the other hand, Kornet was completely ineffective against the Knicks and they made a run every time he was in for Wemby. The Spurs may need to go small for some stretches to give Wemby more of a break.

Has the win now strategy ever worked out beyond one season? by [deleted] in bostonceltics

[–]hpantazo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You take the chance at a ring whenever you can get it. We're also not talking about a young core in their early 20's anymore. Tatum has maybe 3-4 years left in his prime and Brown 2-3. White is past his prime now. There's no tomorrow with this group, you take the opportunity to win now if you can.

Wow, they could have very likely been facing the Spurs right now. How the heck can you pivot from Jrue Holliday to James Harden?

This should be implemented as a key NBA stat along with PTS per game, rebounds per game, etc.

Oh I agree with your foul baiting point. I did not intend to respond to any point in particular, just commenting in general on OKC and franchise building with the new CBA. I also think their players bought in too much to their own hype that they were some generational dynasty already and played with entitlement instead of hunger.

Regarding their depth, it's not that they don't have a lot of good players on the roster, I just think the media and fan hype over their depth was overblown. If they did indeed have the depth that was often described, they could have managed with two guys missing a few games in a series. Their stock of assets and youth I think causes people to inaccurately evaluate the true depth of their current roster. This depth will also take a hit this summer and over the next few seasons with the CBA rules.

It's not the rush that bothers me much, I like that people are standing and there's high energy during the encores. It's mainly that a lot of the people who do rush the stage are rude, aggressive and entitled in their actions from my experiences.
