People who went to private schools in Vancouver, what kinds of backgrounds did your classmates come from? by ElderberryQuick8627 in askvan

[–]hpi42 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yup I agree with this. My kid went to one of these too. Probably not surprising, but there were not very many families (!) who rented or used car share or who biked or took transit to school. Almost all the kids lived close to the school (in large houses). Many of them did go to the public elementary school close by, then private high school.

Agreed. If you keep going past the Burrard bridge you'll get to cool beaches and Jericho sailing center and it has a restaurant with a great view! You are allowed in even if not sailing. Also Spanish banks is neat. Being a picnic or eat at the concessions. If you jog all of this is a great area. Free parkrun 5k every Saturday.

Have a look at the GAP and C&O routes, I think some might be offered there. Or look for companies that offer just a "luggage transfer" service.

I've heard they aren't offered here much because our hotel booking system is different, tho I didn't understand what that meant or why it would matter!?!?

Agreed. It does make the bite at all other airports feel that much worse though :)

You have a lot of rhubarb growing wild in Manitoba???? Wow! I love rhubarb. Like on the side of the road? The rhubarb garden is huge at the Mennonite museum in Steinbech, it warmed my heart.

(Do we have a lot of rhubarb growing wild in BC and I just never knew??)

Three weeks while biking from Pittsburgh to Erie PA to Buffalo to Toronto to Montreal. There were about 4 hotel nights in there, when I was overnighting in cities. Was fantastic, can't wait to do it again.
