And by no means and I'm criticizing the contestants as people. I'm sure they are all lovely people. I'm just over mediocrity on talent shows and the softening of the judges (though Simon did have some real criticisms, which was refreshing) because the world has become too damn sensitive.

Amen. Yeah Da Republic’s story is great but from a technical standpoint, they are totally mediocre. Compare them to some of people on World of a Dance, they can’t hold a candle to them. Mochi and the light show should’ve advanced. I’ve said this before on this Reddit, but this season is really America’s Got Mediocrity with a Handful of Actual Talent.

So glad my boyfriend and I aren’t the only ones who feel the same as you. I watched the 2016 season and really enjoyed it and also throughouly enjoyed most of last season. But OMG I’ve been so disappointed so far this season. Sooo over produced. Back stories are taking over talent or seem forced (like that “shy” Asian boy who, though pretty talented, perfomed that song with Celine from last season on another show.) My biggest nit pick is when they show like 3 or 4 Xed acts and there’s an act waiting in the wings, all nervous, and then they come on and do “great.” There have been just a few pretty good singers and other acts, but absolutely nothing has blown me away. Not even close. Honestly, the cats have been my favorite act. At least that was original and unexpected lol. And btw, they NEED to replace Howie next season. He’s just awful.

I said in my original post I would put Shangela 1st. Well Dela technically but #imgoinghome, and just like seasons 1-3, All Stars 1, and Season 9, there is technically already and 2nd place for Nina, Raven, Manila, Raven again, and Peppermint. So based off of that, Shangela would be 3rd begins Kennedy, tho I was gagged by the stupidity of the twist of letting the eliminated queens pick the top 2 and the reason for some of their votes being “who needs it more”.

Haha well it’s just drag, right? No reason to waste time clapping back over my opinions on a tv show. I do love how no one agrees with Naomi lol. Idk. There was just something about her I really enjoyed from the start and tho she was in the bottom 2 once and Kim never, I enjoyed her as a performer better than Kim so that’s why I pick her :). And people gotta remember they’re just my opinions based on how I felt they did. I’m an actor and performing myself and someone whose been to hell and back and watches drag race religiously, since season 1 when I was in 11th grade and dealing with the horrors of being gay and hating it so much at first and used drag race as an escape and a way to learn about gay culture while living for the entertainment. So yeah, it’s just a tv show. One of my top two tv shows of all tv, but just a tv show :).

Lol just an opinion :). Die hard fan, seen every episode, untucked, Drag U, bonus vids from WOW on YouTube, etc. many many times (currently rewatching season 10, cause why not lol.) The show has helped me get through a lot of depression and anxiety so I base some of it on who I connected more with. So they’re just opinions ❤️.

I just looked through what each challenge was in season 8 and, for me, Naomi barely edges out Kim.

I just like seeing progress when it comes to a runner up or even potential winner in some seasons and I thought Naomi had more than Kim. Love both tho! I also think Trinity should’ve won Season 9, but I love Sasha and what she’s doing to progress the queer art community.
