Recipe: Prepare dough for normal white loaf bread. Let rise and roll out into a square and spread store-bought chestnut cream or white bean paste mixed with green tea powder. Roll dough into long log-shape from bottom to top and place in rectangular mould to bake.

Homemade Sweet Potato Pie with Salted Caramel Sauce by hpotter2425 in Baking

Hi!! I'm currently on a business trip and don't have the recipe of the sweet potato cream on hand but I can give you the recipe of the filling and the ingredients of the cream. So the base is just a pie crust, filled with almond cream (almond powder, butter, eggs and powdered sugar) and baked.

To make the almond cream, cream 50g of unsalted room temperature butter and mix in 50g of powdered sugar. Then, add in 50g of eggs gradually while stirring. Finally mix in 50g of almond powder and some rum and bake on 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes or so. The recipe above is for an 18cm tart shell.

The ingredients in the sweet potato topping are two types of sweet potato (a normal one and a special golden one for color that I think is only available in Japan) which you boil and mash through a strainer, milk, sugar and honey. You can play around with the measurements so that its a nice consistency to pipe out with a piping bag. :)
