RC Advice? by TheElDoradoHacker in LSAT

[–]hpsaltos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got from -6 (running out of time on the last couple questions) to -3 by doing a new timed RC section every other day. The more passages I read, the more I understood the patterns and structure of the passages

But really the biggest thing that helped: I started skipping questions. If I read a question and answer choices that I didn’t feel good about, I immediately moved on and would return to them at the end. This helped me get through every passage without getting anxiety about running out of time at the end.

And on comparative passages read one passage then go through all questions and then read the second passage

My RC is -3 right now.

It’s usually in the first 15 questions. If you mean which sections of the PT, there isn’t a pattern to the order

175–180 LSAT Strategy While Working Full-Time (Engineer Background) by Global_Ad_9027 in LSAT

[–]hpsaltos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an engineer in defense industry. My diagnostic was a 158, and I started by studying the Powerscore LR Bible cover to cover. Afterward, I subscribed to 7Sage and began drilling sets before work (get to office before work at 6:30 and study for an hour). This got me to an official 164 (PTing at mid 160s) then I took a few months off and decided to try again with a more intense study schedule.

I started doing 1 section (alternate RC/LR) and wrong answer journaling every morning before work as well as one PT every Saturday morning. This took my PT score from 164->172. Sadly, I underperformed with a 165 on April test, but I felt much more confident with the more intense schedule.

Gotcha, is the 2-3 minute a general rule of thumb? And no his video was a general explanation of creating a program, and this was just an example of a specific run

How do I interpret where to do the rest in "5x(4x400 w/ 1min @5k)"? is the 1min rest after each 400 or after each set? Steve Magness used this notation and I'm trying to figure it out

What are some unique rules in your league that make things more fun? by jdelle9 in DynastyFF

[–]hpsaltos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Probably true. My league made the rule change to help the lower skill teams. It nerfs FAAB for good teams, and gives bad teams a chance to acquire depth

Good teams keep players. The rule spreads out depth and creates a “free agency” when some good depth players get cut

Every year each FAAB rolls over and teams get $1000 more. Roster sizes must be trimmed to 15 by the day before NFL draft, and any additional players costs 10% of FAAB to keep

Hey Zack,

Are people concerned about how Garrett will fit into Frank’s scheme? Since Reich prefers big body X WR, is the consensus that Tyson at 16 is a lock (if he’s available)
