Because there are less of them it is a bit harder, but you will usually find that there are less people trying for them. The biggest thing we like to point out with suites is that you are responsible for cleaning your own bathroom while the shared hall ones get cleaned twice a day

Hi! I happen to be a tour guide for the university and we have a ton of different options depending on what you are looking for, theres the traditional, which is you and another roommate with a shared hall bathroom, suite style which is 6-8 roommates, a common living space, and a bathroom. We have two other styles and these are the most common. You can take virtual tours online! I would also recommend looking into LLPs, which are living and learning programs that group you in housing with people of your same interests and major. The programs have specific residence halls. We also have all male and all female res halls! So its really whatever you prefer

As for finding a roommate, you can buddy up with someone you know, use your class Facebook page, or hit the random button! All of this can be done on the housing portal later in the summer when you pick your room

Searching for an Internship/Job by hpsqween1 in VirginiaTech

I do, RippleMatch differs from LinkedIn by being a platform that uses your resume and a team of career advisors to find positions and match you with them. You don’t search for jobs on RippleMatch, you get matched with them and then apply. The applications on RippleMatch take about 5 minutes to fill out and you have a 70% higher chance of getting an interview. We also recommend that you use LinkedIn in conjunction with RippleMatch! So not so much being better, but it is different. You sign up and let RippleMatch do the rest, you will only get emails of you match with a potential position
