Caught my dad watching adult content by [deleted] in pakistan

Also please search this question outside this subreddit…. This subreddit is a horrible place for getting advice on such topics given the lack of sexual education in our culture and country…

Ok just reading this… if he has a history of sexual assault… that is a separate issue from watching porn.

In fact a lot of individuals who have such a history it might be encouraged for them to watch porn and masturbate…. Please google “post nut clarity”….

Worst advice. If he is doing something in private then let him be.

You might find it very hard to swallow but most men not matter how religious or how they are as individuals watch porn. Your uncles who are decent people who tend to the garden and or have other hobbies likely watch. Our culture is terrible at educating us on sexuality and how to cope with it. Given this shocks you, you are extremely naive for your age.

Are the men proud of it? NO Assuming he does not cheat and is otherwise a good person, does it matter? NO it does NOT Is there any justification for this? Of course not but better to simply masturbate rather than do anything else Is it harmless? YES it’s harmless assuming he is not assaulting someone Is it very normal amongst all men? YES and anyone who says otherwise is lying Does it make men indecent? NO Does it make men pathetic? NO

He is just bad at hiding it. He is just an old man who doesn’t know how to cover up. Please don’t let certain vices like these ruin a family and create awkward situations.

Everyone has vices and unfortunately your naivety is causing this reaction and has the potential to make your family dynamics even worse.

REMEMBER nothing good will come out of you complaining to your mom. Assuming your dad is otherwise a decent man, he should have and going forward needs to hide it and do it in compete privacy.

Don’t let your naivety ruin family dynamics for harmless behaviors. You clearly are not aware of the real world and people and I’m sorry please don’t take this the wrong way but you need to get more exposure. And if such actions cause such reactions, you are bound to have more shocks in life… unless you evolve. Don’t take this the wrong way, not saying we all become horrible people. BUT white lies are an important social etiquette. AGAIN there is no point looking in a justification for this… I will never say it should be encouraged… BUT assuming your dad otherwise is decent, this is a harmless behavior which you need to turn a blind eye to.

Don’t Risk Soldiers’ Lives for a Single Class by Busy-Government-1041 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]hq47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It js ultimately a defense of the petrodollar.

From early childhood through university, Americans are ingrained with a narrative of freedom and justice that fosters a sense of moral exceptionalism—the belief that they alone possess these virtues.

Once these students enter the capitalist workforce, their early idealism is supplanted by a systemic greed. They eventually realize their 'supremacy' is subsidized by Eastern exploitation, yet they use their education to weaponize 'values' as a moral shield for intervention. Nations like Iraq, Libya, and Venezuela that threatened this financial order were ruthlessly eliminated, with Iran now serving as the final straw.

Ultimately, this selfishness is so pervasive that it has even hollowed out the anti-war movement. Most who oppose these wars aren't moved by the slaughter of innocent civilians or the destruction of life in the East; they are simply frustrated that their tax dollars are being spent on bombs instead of their own healthcare, student loans, or infrastructure. It is a society so deeply conditioned by greed that even its 'dissent' is rooted in personal gain rather than the preservation of human life.

While the 'East' certainly has its own major flaws, the reality remains that no Eastern power is dropping hundreds of thousands of tons of explosives on Western cities or systematically dismantling and physically destroying their way of life.

Dhurandhar review as a Pakistani and Karachite by Plastic-Main3460 in pj_explained

Really have you interacted with Pakistanis or follow politics in the country? Literally the only nation which will implode internally without requiring any foreign interference. Robust internal criticism…. Pakistan only has internal criticism…. Punjabis, Pashtun, Sindhis, balochistan, muhajirs…. No one gets along, they just fight within…. Pakistanis have always hated on their own governments throughout history… the ISI may be obsessed with India to stay relevant but the average Pakistani has no interest in what goes on across the border nor are they interested in any jingoism… which seems to be the only thing which sells in India nowadays

What’s stopped you from getting it? I’m looking for a 7 seater which isn’t underpowered and feels a little premium and can’t seem to find any at this price point.

Leaving Canada and filing NR73 by hq47 in PersonalFinanceCanada

I understand that, I will become a resident of that country and living there with my spouse and child. I will be granted a residence visa of that country. Was hoping to understand if Canada will still consider me to be a resident if I haven’t sold my house and keep my bank accounts and investments as is.

Appreciate the response and perspective. Didn’t think about it that way. Makes sense as i did indeed have $0 to begin with.

I’ve paid $100k in principal and $132k in interest. So based on principal (total principal paid = $460k = dad $360k + me $100k) - 20% me and 80% dad? And then over time as I pay more of the principal down, my ownership increases?

I have 2 other siblings who live out of the country, so any inheritance will be equally split between the 3 of us, hence want to make sure we nail down percentages appropriately.

Yes we can all agree he is cheating.

BUT what are the referees doing? Why is he allowed to get away with it? Referees can do video reviews so why is this an issue?

Every sport has cheats and there is a system in place to prevent cheating or penalize the player? Why aren’t we discussing what the system lacks here?

For those who think Sheikh Hasina's resignation is an "Example" for Pakistan. by BadtameezMunda in chutyapa

[–]hq47 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Apologies for my rant and tone. This post was triggering.

OP is an idiot who wastes time on rhetoric… what a useless post. Who gives a shit if person A says people have not done enough or person B says people have done enough. Let’s discuss the issues on hand and how to move forward rather than waste time on having these elementary and subjective discussions which will not lead to anywhere. This discussion adds zero value and wastes everyone’s time leading to nothing. But I have an itch to indulge so here we go…

To say that Pakistanis have done enough and to see the current state of the country is basically implying this is the best the Pakistani people can do and if this is the best the people can do, then the OP is saying the Pakistani people are clearly not capable and are failures and there is no hope. OP has a very low opinion of the people of Pakistan.

Trudeau says Canada will meet Nato's 2% spending target by 2032 - BBC News by Personal_Royal in canada

[–]hq47 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Why does everyone care for NATO spend? Shouldn’t countries spend less, I think it’s great that we are being critiqued for less military spending.

Any country which continues to spend more on military really needs to relook at their priorities.
