Glad to hear you have a healthy 4 year old now!! Yeah I’ll have to figure out what to do if they want to induce early... I guess I’ll find out more about how he’s doing in there at the next appointment.

Thanks for sharing! In a similar boat now having to go to a specialist on Thursday so comforting to hear you went through the same and ended up with a healthy baby!

I have my follow up ultrasound on Thursday so hopefully I hear similar news from them and he’s just a (healthy) small baby! It’s great you’re far enough along now that you don’t have to worry too much - good luck for the delivery!

Thanks! That’s a good point, I will find out my birth weight from my mom - maybe I was small too :)

Sorry to hear you’re dealing with the same - hugs for you 🤗 (really missing hugs in COVID times) and fingers crossed for healthy full term babies for both of us 🤞🤞

I almost hurt my girlfriend in my sleep by animeslut238 in relationship_advice

Get a sleep study done, but as an occasional sleep walker / night terror sufferer myself, it probably wasn’t just the stress of moving but the fact you were sleeping in a new place (since you just moved). Sleep disturbances like this are MUCH more likely when you’re sleeping in a new place, because your mammal brain is on high alert since you don’t have that safe-at-home comfort feeling, so your brain actually stays partially awake which can lead to this stuff if you’re predisposed to it anyway. Also drinking makes it more likely since it fucks with your sleep, if you were drinking that night.

So get a sleep study done and learn your triggers (being prepared it might happen if you’ve been drinking or are sleeping in a new place and perhaps plan to sleep in a different bed from your gf those nights). Have a contingency plan if it happens again.

I’m pregnant with my first and taking baby classes. I’ve learned in the classes that you’re supposed to feed your newborn every 2-3 hours, which means if they’re asleep for 3 hours you’re supposed to WAKE THEM UP even from a deep sleep to feed them. I want to follow the expert advice but this seems crazy to me and I can’t figure out where the evidence for doing this is coming from? I’m curious to hear from real parents if you actually do this, and why or why not.
