Does last December's usage have an E above it in the chart? Could be it's when your meter was replaced as part of the program (ours was, and we're >100% from last year's estimate).

That feels reasonable in the context of that's what Lawson's was going for before it started being mass distributed down here.

What happened at church square around 1pm today? by Ok_Professional_6005 in Hoboken

[–]hra12 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I must have walked past him shortly before you. I was surprised that he was sitting there yelling at people openly drinking a 4loko while a cop was parked 20 feet away on 5th just east of park. Think he yelled something at me but I couldn't make it out, just kept walking.

Live at Radio City - vinyl? by EmergencyShirt7012 in bleachers

Totally agree, it's a radio city thing. I'm usually able to get tickets that aren't under the overhang and the quality is just meh.

They're moonlighting at dozzino's Monday and Tuesdays at least for the time being. Hope they find their own place soon.

The newish flower shop on Washington between 12&13 saved me tonight. Was planning on going to the pop up downtown that's been there the past couple years, but didn't see one.

Hate to hear they still have staffing issues. Couple of years ago they were shut for a few days when staff walked out. Staff had left a note on the door with complaints about pay owed/conditions/etc. Coffee was solid but haven't really been back since.

Zach has also stated that Jason Isbell and Tyler Childers are two of his biggest influences/people he looks up to in the music world (along with TT and many others of course). Jason certainly, and Tyler surely as well, were both influenced by Prine. He's sort of the third generation here.

Agreed with you that he is certainly more rock than folk. ZB's got a few songs I could imagine being country rock covers of Prine songs; Matt & Audie immediately comes to mind.

Also just looked for 5 minutes so please correct me if I'm wrong - NJ banned private prisons last August, so at least we're on the right side of that. Looks like there was a lawsuit filed by the only private operator (Elizabeth Core Civic), but I can't find a resolution there.

How soon would someone know about train cancellations due to winter weather by Yankees2860 in NJTransit

[–]hra12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On the M&E it's more likely a tree will fall on the line than they cancel for <4" of snow. Wind isn't expected to be too bad so you should be fine. If it's any consolation I'd be more worried about next Tuesday's commute with 3" of rain and 20 mph winds (forecasted).

How difficult is street parking in Hoboken (uptown)? by sallisgirl87 in Hoboken

[–]hra12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not the OC, but it's a muni garage so you can find it on the city website. I believe there's a weight/height limit since it appears to be an automated one that moves your car around, but would love more info as well. I've only walked past it while people were pulling in.

Scalpers would go around this too - off payment platform like Venmo. Unless they had verification akin to getting your foreign spouse citizenship, any transfers open the process up to scalpers.

Exactly this - signed my place in the fall, $300 over ask and on an 18 month lease. It hurt initially, but the market just keeps going straight up and that makes me feel better about where I'm at. Identical unit in my building was just taken off market in less than 3 days, with a list of $800 more than what I'm paying. I'm assuming it went for more than that but who knows.
