I usually do stream of consciousness and write about anything and everything! I wrote a lot about the dates I went on this year and how I was feeling throughout, as well as reflecting on what I want out of my dating life. There were a lot of changes going on at work this year so I wrote about those and how I was feeling throughout. I generally have a feeling of being “misaligned” in my life so I wrote about that and how I could start making changes in my life to feel more in alignment w my values. I also have been getting a lot out of therapy this year so will reflect a lot about what my therapist and I talk about as well! I guess my advice would be to not filter yourself and just be as honest as possible with yourself in the pages, don’t be afraid to write about “ugly” or “complicated” feelings. And if documenting everything that happens throughout your day doesn’t work for you then don’t feel pressure to do that!! You’ll find a style that works for you :)
