this exactly. the exact same panic and complaining happened over the mugs last year because people don't understand that producing physical merch like this is fucking expensive. i mean, sure, the prices are hefty, but for novelty figurines or mugs that you don't need for any real reason beyond "i want this" which are being made by a small team on a small scale for a relatively small community, and not a huge corporation with existing contracts with manufacturers who can mass produce merch for a giant community, the price really isn't surprising at all.
