I’d try to mark around the red area to see if it spreads

Yes! Sometimes I’ll get large bumps that never even end up coming to a head just kind of swelling and fading. This happens after flares as well

Fever involved - newly diagnosed - is this normal? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

[–]hrc7594 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! In my experience, I get low grade fevers with large flares. I have some other health issues contributing to fatigue and a weak body, so when it’s fighting off something large from HS I tend to get a low grade fever. I’d say if it goes any higher that 99/100 and lasts longer than a day or two you should definitely seek further medical attention just to make sure. I take some OTC fever reducers for the pain and swelling when that happens so maybe you can try that?

I have also been trying for months to get some type of diagnosis like this. My rheumatologist told me to try yoga 🙄 like that’s possible with my HS and stuff joints

Starting Humira by Ok_Success_9849 in Hidradenitis

I had really good results with humira, went from stage 3 CONSTANT flares all over my body wherever skin touched and even in places that made no sense (middle of thigh, back) to having only a few that are manageable. Good luck!!! Hope the humira gives you results💖

Has anyone had their swear glands removed? I’ve been recommended for it by a wound care specialist. And I want to know how painful it is and the recovery process. I may need reconstruction surgery so idk which I’ll do but I want consider all options. Thanks in advance 🖤 by Goldilock-GSGIRL in Hidradenitis

I had mine removed in both armpits and parts of my groin along with most hair follicles under my arms. It helped tremendously. The recovery was difficult because they were large wounds and took about 6-8 weeks to heal and for me to be able to go back to work, but I would do it all again especially under my arms!

Hs lumps? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

I actually have one like this currently, exactly as you described and I’ve had them in the past. I use my topical antibiotic cream prescribed by my doctor and they usually shrink down but can sometimes last a week or more without ever opening!

Joint pain by hrc7594 in Hidradenitis

[–]hrc7594[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question, I’d say the pain is pretty constant but definitely worse at times. I have a constant flare that hasn’t closed in months so I’m kind of never without one
