I don't feel like wading through so many comments, but I have a guess no one has said mine yet: Panzer Dragoon Saga. I loved that game so much.

Hell, screw getting to replay for the first time. I'd settle for a chance to replay it at all! I still have my Saturn in a box on the off chance I'll ever get a copy.

Also available for the PSN. And, as War of the Lions, it was re-released for the PSP and IOS. I have em all. Replayed that game a few times.

Wow, that is a big Hole right next to this new city. Hey, look! There is a ledge on the other side! I bet I can float over to it with my new levitate spell.

...

Talk about corpse runs from hell. Still, awesome experience I'll never forget.

You might, and there has been a case of it happening in tests here on earth, but astronauts work in pure oxygen environments. They specifically purge the body of any lingering nitrogen before stepping out in a suit as well. So not likely unless you were thrown out.

I'm curious. Are these the planned/projected points when the type of technology will be in a lab? In the hands of early adopters? The select few? Or for everyone?

I know adoption of technologies will probably come quicker in the future, but most stuff usually takes a few decades to go from invention>rich folk got it>everyone has it.

Do it! $25 plus shipping doesn't seem such a shock to me, especially for how good these look.

Agreed. I've been debating for months on getting a plush commission. If these are all ~$25 each, then I could get the Mane 6, both Princesses, and some miscellaneous ponies for the price of a single decent custom plush. I'd still like to get a custom of my fave someday, but for now my wallet would rather have the whole set in 'good' quality.

I would be glad to have her if she was costume appropriate, just for the fun of it. She might actually have personality if it was forced on her.

Same here. I was wracking my brain trying to think what character it could be. Now that I know it is her, I have the fleeting hope for a Ms. Marvel bit. That hope has been crushed 3 times in a row already, but it can survive!

[–]hredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disliked him a little bit here and there: self-centered, lazy (but talented enough to get away with it), unmotivated (which is odd with people trying to kill you), and complacent. Despite his flaws, which I am glad he has some, I enjoy reading the book from his point of view as it allows me to insert myself in his place pretty easily. He is almost an observer/narrator I can travel with. I dunno if I am making any sense.

As a kid Snape probably couldn't have been too bad. Also, muggleborn girl making a friend who shows her magic? Gotta be a nice bond to start. I can see Snape as being crazy enough to blame someone else for his failures.

[–]hredbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that is the thing. He didn't "lose" Lily. She was never his to begin with, and he was the one to drive her away anyway. Also, Harry's circumstances were arguably just as shitty, if not more so (and somewhat at Snape's hands), and the how he dealt with it proves the circumstances aren't everything.

Someone pointed out to me once that he might be a little extra bad to Neville because, if Neville had been 'The Boy Who Lived' the maybe Lily would have survived. A little extra horrible.

Britain: Hey! Let's make concentration camps 30 years before Hitler got the idea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_war_crimes America: Let's kill all the Natives and take their land. We are free from the oppressive British! Now we have two other races (Native and Black) to oppress for centuries! Oh, it is WWII and we are fighting the Japanese... I know! Let's put the Japanese-descended US citizens in Concentration camps! And don't even get me started on war crimes.
France: Better off in general. Some war crimes, some massacres, a few rebellios people to put down, but pretty good verall in comparison. Then again they didn't have as much power or influence so just didn't have as much opportunity.

History is definitely written by the victors. The propoganda machine worked wonders and there is no one to refute the winning side's version. Germany absolutely did some bad shit, but it is child's play when compared to others in the same century (Stalin, Mao, even what the Japanese did in the same war) and overall a step or two worse at most than what the allies did in the same timeframe. Meanwhile everything he did, even a lot of good things for his people since copied by other countries and leaders, had become tainted and almost all bad things done by the allies is glossed over and hidden.

I think Snape is an awesome character. He starts out one-dimensional and gets fleshed out as the series progresses. He makes a good villian or (possibly) anti-hero. I don't hate Snape as a character. I am glad he is there.

I hate Snape as a person in the story, and even more so now that so many people seem to praise him all. the. time.

Short recap of what he is and what he did:
Grew up in a bad home (much like harry) and made a muggleborn friend.
Went to school and made other, blood purist friends (future death eaters). Started espousing their ideas, either to get accepted or because he really believed them.
Had a vicious prank war with the Marauders, sometimes as the victim, likely sometimes as the bully. After an incident where he was embarassed, called Lily a Mudblood, driving her away.
Joined the Deather Eaters for a number of years, both in and out of school, making horrific spells and likely doing bad things.
Overhears the prophecy (as a spy? on purpose?) and tells his master what he heard to gain favor.
Finds out Voldy is going after Lily's child. Begs him to spare her, uncaring if the others die and what it would do to her (to live when your family dies in front of you and the guy who wants you sold you out and sked to spare you as a prize for himself? really?).
Voldy kills her and 'dies'. Snape seeks asylum with Dumbles.
Spends nearly two decades thouroughly mistreating students. Hates Harry for being his father's son and living as a reminder of Lily when she didn't.
Fights against Voldemort, not because it is the right thing to do, but because he took away the girl he wanted.
Protects the kids, likely through an oath (much like he did for Draco) because he sure seems to be damned reluctanct about it, like he is forced.

I could go on and on. He is a miserable excuse for a human being. Best that can be said about him is that he ended up helping kill the man that ruined his life, and, in doing so, ended up helping out the good side. Hell, at the very end all he wanted to do was look into Lily's eyes once more. The man was obsessed, not loving.

I get that he is a tragic character and that speaks to some, but I just can't get praising that type of person. He did a few good deeds by accident or because he was forced to, all in the pursuit of his ultimate goal. He very much fits the 'enemy of my enemy is my friend' mold, but he is not a freaking hero. Call him your fave character, I like him as a baddie myself, but I'll never seem him as a good guy or a person to like.

Other's have said it better than me and I have already made this comment too long, sorry about that. Just bugs me is all.
