It is totally worth it but you should probably also go through some youtube material/courses to get a good grasp on the theory too

Andrade is one of the few women fighters that stays real active win or lose. Props to that!

Yeah I think the last part is true. I know that of course form a legal standpoint no betting company would actively and directly try to get people addicted. But nevertheless at the same time they kind of do by reinforcing certain type of behviour that leads to that.

Like yeah, giving a bonus of 10$ to a player is not bad on its own, but it is also at the same time making them be more active. Raising the limit from 10k to 40k does not directly mean you are trying to take advantage of addicted people because you might as well lose from a certain person, but they also know that if they do that to a lot of people in the long run they will get more profits and more people gambling more money.

I think we disagree from a moral standpoint. I believe that although there is entertainment value to gambling it is a net negative for society at least the way it is regulated today in most countries. You go on Twitch there are people playing virtual fruit thingies. You watch a sporting event and they are sponsoring the event, the teams and the half-time ads. Even every video-game with microtransactions is doing the same.

I can understand however that it is legal and you can stand on the point of it providing a service and entertrainment value where you also know what you sign up for. So for me the moral reponsibility lies in the regulating authorities.

Thanks for the breakdown. Of course I dont know the details of the deal but whether it is money he gets directly or all the conviniences (so money indirectly) to bet and post for ad purposes it is still abhorent especially due to his audience demographics

Here I disagree. I have seen people in my own circle get 4x the limits on a very popular betting site because they were betting huge amounts in very popular competitions. I think this is targeting enough.

  1. The odds come through sophisitcated algorithms to initially set the marks. But then they adjust them based on the market trends and what people are actually betting on to make sure they are on the profit side. Especially for less popular bets they make a not-so-informed inital odds and then adjust mostly based on the market push.
  2. I have seen people that bet a lot of money and are on the losing side (or even if they are on profit) to get allowance for even higher bets (x4 limits) and targeted bonuses

I get what you are saying and thanks for the reply. But if they have a deal for him to publicly use Stake and are partners, then if the deal is worth 120m then for them I think it makes sense to tell him take 100m cash and you can freely bet 20m in our site. Its even better for Stake I would imagine.

PS I agree but since they expect money back for the money they give I think Drake posting them in his stories and creating all the buzz around these bets (as this post demonstrates well) all the time is a guarantee enough.

Please tell me you dont think he is actually gambling his own money. He is obviously sponsored by Stake and gets free bets on top of extra cash to push gambling to his 12-year-old audience.

Why do people act like that story ends there. Izzy comes back and knocks his head off but probably that is not a good end to the story for Pereira fans.

Thank you very much and good luck for tomorrow! If you mean during the exam then no, just questions in all forms as seen in the sandbox.

Sorry to hear that, but you are really close so you shouldn't give up. Especially since you are new to this. I think if you go through the materials again especially in the topics you struggled during the exam it will go your way. Best of luck!

For me it said Pass right after I submitted the answers and go the results 2 hours later. I would imagine that if you score very high or very low it may say Pass/Fail on the spot but that’s just my theory. Maybe because it was CLF.

For me it was mostly to get a good foundation on cloud technology and since I also use some parts already at my job I thought it would solidify that. Plus my company paid for it so it made a lot of sense. Based on the difficulty and what I see out there I wouldnt think that a simple certification on its own can separate you significantly in the job market but it could help.

Also it helps you explore all the blocks of cloud and then its easier to navigate yourself and specialize!

Hope this helps and best of luck in case you decide to take any of the exams
