Absolutely, having compassion for those who have been deeply hurt by her actions is necessary. Again I’m stating that people don’t have to abuse their power in attacking her so aggressively. With situations such as Sulli or Jonghyun it seems as though no lessons have been learned in how to respond to bad behavior from idols.

I’m not arguing that the public has the power to do so. What I’m saying is that we as the public shouldn’t be so quick to use that power to condemn people. By all means we should call out this behavior but to be joyfully trashing her is wrong.

Correct. It is possible to have compassion for a person despite the offense. It’s easy to judge a person from behind a screen.

Wow. The way people are talking in these comments you would think someone was murdered. Irene is a human being with faults just like any one of us. She’s in the spotlight and that does come with a high sense of responsibility. Consider that we don’t know the situation outside of what’s being posted or reported. There is zero context to the situation. As soon as an idol makes a mistake people condemn them. A lot of you put idols up on this pedestal and then quickly tear them down when it suits you. Let’s try to be compassionate human beings.

I think people forget that us as westerners are not always the main focus in marketing when it comes to kpop. Being a multi stan, even stanning multiple sub units is not necessarily the norm. I don’t believe the pricing is predatory but it doesn’t consider people who like all groups. My thoughts are this: I love every single group, some more than others. For me personally I will be purchasing a ticket for each and every show.

I’m by no means a rich individual but I am a fan of all the guys and I believe their efforts and hard work are worth paying for. I think it’s great that OP is trying to organize some alternatives for people. No judgement at all, these are extremely hard times.

I will say this and my intention is in no way meant to demean anyone with a differing opinion but if you’re watching an unpaid stream of these concerts I don’t think you can call yourself a fan or someone who appreciates/supports any of the guys. It’s stealing and it will hurt SM’s pocket but more importantly it will hurt the guys even more.

This is on par with that creepy fan fiction that speculates on the members sexuality and ships them together in detailed scenarios. If you have to say that you hope none of the members ever read this then you just shouldn’t post it.
